Was there for dinner and had choices from the special menu which is available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Vegetarian options which are also gluten free were provided. The service was excellent, food, options and portion sizes were also very good. Surroundings are beautiful and the dining room was just right for a summer's evening. Some people were enjoying the evening at outside seating. Based on this visit I would have no problem in recommending this establishment.

I am writing a review because my confidential message to the hotel has been ignored. We were a Party of 7 and came for an anniversary dinner earlier this month. After perusing the menu and seeing that all mains could be served as a small portion apart from steak, two of our elderly party opted for the beef main as a smaller portion, but were told this was not possible as a slice of beef is a slice of beef!
The waiter himself was quite rude. The food was delicious and can't be faulted as was one of the waiters. The head waiter started to deliver our sweets and as some of our party are deaf and didn't hear him, or understand him with an accent behind a mask, were late in indicating it was their sweet, he actually rolled his eyes and huffed. It was my anniversary and I was so excited to dine at the hotel especially as my father had travelled up from Kent but this service did not ruin our evening but it did tarnish it, and to be ignored when I have messaged the hotel via their website is quite frankly rude.

Family run hotel at the heart of Dunfermline. My family and I have eaten at their wonderful restaurant for twentY years. Yesterday, Christmas Day was honestly the best Chrisas dinner I have ever had and the service was superb and as usual very friendly. Thank you to Pamela and her team for making our day so extra special. A special shout-out to the Chef and kitchen team for the superb food and waiting staff for Google Ng that extra mile. See you again next Christmas.

Always love it at the Garvock. My wife and I were married there nearly 15 years ago. Service still excellent, food still on point. I had the pork main. Compliments to the chef, pork was done to perfection. Wife had the chicken and her comments were the same. Had a great chat with the polish waitress who we swore was only in her 20's. We don't get here as often as we would like, time, kids, covid etc but would highly recommend to anyone.

Have eaten here and it is definetly an experience to be repeated. The hotel is an old country house situated in the heart of dunfermline in its own grounds with parking. An ideal venue for a wedding or for that special occasion. You are greeted on arrival and taken to a lounge area for a pre dinner drink where you make your choice from the menu. When your first course is ready you are shown through to your table. The service we were given was second to none, even though they were busy with a wedding at the same time. Not as pricey as you would expect given the sumpteous surroundings

This is an amazing hotel and restaurant and the service is second to none. The old adage you get what you pay for is true here. The food is exquisite and the hotel is set in beautiful surroundings. The attention to detail is what makes this place so special. The staff take a real pride in the service that they are providing and everything runs so smoothly. Weddings are popular here and the staff do everything to ensure your big day goes smoothly and without any problems.
The hotel rooms are furnished to a very high standard and the bathrooms are beautiful and clean. A little bit of luxury right here on your doorstep in Dunfermline - well worth a visit for an overnight stay or even just for a meal - you won't be disappointed!
