Grizedale Lodge Hotel When determining the most appropriate door size for entering a dwelling, it is necessary to take into account several indicators. It is not only the height, width, and thickness of the door leaf. You also need to take into account the dimensions of the box and link all indicators to standards. To better understand this task, you should consider the issue of door sizes in more detail.

The opening height for a standard door is set at 6 feet 8 inches. Some doors are 8 or 7 feet high. The specific value is determined concerning the total height of the ceiling and the width of the door leaf.

Large building old BnB. Only part of the oven worked. But otherwise beautifully located 8bed house.

Richard and Debby are friendly and welcoming from the moment you step through the door. The lodge itself is wonderfully decorated and really gives a country house feel. The breakfasts are perfectly cooked, and you will not be disappointed if you order dinner! Grizedale forest is close by for walks, and you are well placed for Coniston and Windermere. I will certainly be returning, and would encourage all of my friends and family to use this as their base in the Lake District.

An amazing place and will definitely be coming back. The whole place is clean and spacious but retains the home away from home feel. Our room was perfect with a lovely view. The breakfast was wonderful both the traditional and the vegetarian options. The evening menu was good although we had already made plans to eat elsewhere during our stay. The hosts are welcoming and can provide a wealth of local knowledge to enhance any stay here. I would certainly recommend it to anyone. Thank you!

One of the best places to stay in the lakes if you are looking for a place away from the crowd at Windermere, Ambleside or Coniston. The place is very well maintained with clean and comfortable rooms, a decent living and dining area. Breakfast spread is generous and dinner options can be in house, at The Eagles Head pub or the diners in Hawkshead. Perfect for a stay with children if you are planning for short walks and treks in the nearby Grizedale forest.

Stayed here in July 2015 for 4 nights with my girlfriend and it was brilliant, we stayed in Room 4 which was great, it was clean and tidy, with a great bathroom, the view was brilliant, great little tea making facilities in the room as well as free tea or coffee in the very comfy living room/communal area, also a little library of DVDs to choose from and watch in your room, the owners were very welcoming and helpful if you had any questions it was no problem.

The breakfast was really nice, plenty of options! The dinners had set menus every night, we had it for our last night and it was yummy. There are pretty decent pubs not that far away, for example the queens head in hawks head comes recommended. The Go Ape is just about 5 minutes up the road if that, with the only zip trek adventure at a go ape. Bottom line 5 stars and recommend! Thanks
