Stayed there last night. From the food at restaurant and the room upstairs (Room 1) I thought it was excellent and customer service was brilliant as well. Only couple of really minor issues. I had hot chocolate at night and found the cups to be on the small side and the tv remote doesn't work that well. I would come again and recommend anyone to stay/eat.

We had an absolutely amazing time at this quaint and beautiful hotel. The staff are amazing and our regal suite room was charming, cozy, spacious and everything we were looking for for a stop over while travelling. The food is on another level! We had three a la carte courses which were Michelin quality and very easy to see where their rosettes come from!

Service was top notch, the restaurant had really spaced tables making a meal for two really special and I have to say the music playing through the hotel was so up our street, it was like hearing one of our personal playlists! Again with breakfast, absolutely exceptional quality and local produce. We will be back, no question! Thank you :

Lovely old building, dated from around 1500, originally owned by Queen Elizabeth 1st maybe as a hunting lodge. In private ownership until the 1980's when it was turned into a wonderful hotel.

We enjoyed a lovely festive afternoon tea (brie and cranberry open sandwiches, turkey and stuffing sandwiches, mince pies, chocolate orange choux buns and scones with jam and cream) in a cosy, relaxed setting. Service was a little slow but we will definitely be back!

We had a christening buffet lunch at the great house today. Having Eleanor on hand prior to today to answer any questions and helped make today such a success. The staff on hand throughout were helpful, friendly and the food was plentiful and to a high standard. Made the christening of our grandson extra special.

Stayed at The Great House for a wedding. Beautiful pub, gorgeous food, staff were fantastic. The only downside we had was our room. The white, black and mirror decor looked cheap and very dated and the all white walls and doors show every mark. However they were very clean and the bed was pretty comfortable

Great day, gorgeous food and staff couldn't be more helpful. Bedrooms are basic and seem out of place with the rest of the beautiful historic pub, although they are clean

Party of 10 split over 2 tables catered for at the restaurant. Friendly staff, great service with a variety of queries dealt with in a sensitive manner. Delicious food. Were given the choice of mix & matching from the smaller meal lunchtime menu & the a la carte which suited the various ages. Would definitely recommend.
