We visited the Tadross hotel may 1st the staff were very friendly. drinks were served outdoors att & the lady bringing the drinks to the garden was quick to serve us. when we left the landlord showed us the way out & was very friendly. we asked him all about the filming of Gavin & Stacey & he put himself out to stop & chat to us telling us lots of interesting info. made my day! so I'm giving 5 stars to him & the pub. thank you! The staff were great, really really helpful! The room was a good size for four of us and a good location. Wasn't the cleanest of places to stay and being at the back of the pub the drinkers were very noisy and rude which kept us up. Complimentary breakfast was perfect, toast, cereals, yogurts and fruit as well as tea and coffee. For the price and the staff it was good.

Mike and the girls open and friendly people, great drink selection, Sunday roasts. outdoor area fab.with bounce castle for kids. rooms very decently priced, and clean and airy. All round thumbs up.if just quick mid week beer, weekend evening in friendly local, or indeed to use as a base if visiting Barry and surrounding areas.

Staff were friendly and breakfast was as described. It was a Friday night and we were allocated a room in the annexe. Room was ok basic but clean. Unfortunately we had a group of customers outside the room effing and blinding until 11.45. Would recommend staying in the hotel as the rate was good but definitely not in the annexe.

The room was very clean the service was great very accomodating but don't take chidren if you want them to get a nights sleep at least on a Friday night as people were still partying outside the room at 1am without any consideration for those trying to sleep and was wide awake at 5.30am as the blinds were broke in a place so the daylight came straight through.
A great place for a boys or girls stop over but not for kids and the usual bad language wherever you go now is in large supply kids present or not. Glad to get home after one night for a rest and sleep.

Although it doesn't look that impressive from the outside this is a great place to stay. The rooms are nice and the beds comfortable and everything in the room is immaculately clean. They do serve a full breakfast from 0700 to 0900 and have their own on site pub that is everything you expect of a traditional pub. The drinks are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is quite jovial. There's even a inflated jump house out back for the children plus picnic tables if you want to drink, smoke, or just enjoy the fresh air.
The television is a bit small but you do get SKY television channels so that's a plus but the most impressive thing is the staff. They are always polite, courteous, and cheerful and always checking to make sure you have everything you need.
