Got a small and dirty family-room in the basement. It smelled musty and outside the window was a lot of garbage bags. it was noisy and we told them that this was nothing like the pictures. They said that the next day we would have a better room in the second floor. The next day we did not get a room in the second floor but a new room in the basement. It was a bit better. The man in the reseption was rude and did not lisen to us. We can not recommend this hotel in any way!

Stayed for one night. Room although small had everything I needed and was clean. Stairs were a bit steep and would benefit from a handrail all the way down. Breakfast was adequate and staff very polite, would definitely stay again!

Not what was shown in the picture of the room we had booked. The room looked unclean, was really small, the shower room was a little thing where you couldn't really move about in. The floors creaked every time someone in the hotel was moving around. Noise from outside kept was awake and also other customers. For breakfast we had to go to another building which was way better then the one we stayed at. Breakfast was ok. would not book this ever again.

It was a very pleasant stay and they clean the room everyday. Except they don't have a tub in the shower. Excellent service and cleanliness overall.

Very hard bed, bedding was clean but the walls had awful staining (dried on substances all round the bed on the walls) but didn't look like it had been painted that long ago! Cheap room so feel like you can't moan for price Staff were lovely

Clean room, not too spacious but comfy. Bathroom slightly small with huge shower, as most hotel in London. Well located in Shepherd's Bush, close to the tube station and with lot of buses near by. Good for quality price.

Had very bad experience with them as our suitcase was stolen from the room and the receptionist was not that much helpful, there is no security and in other building in which we were staying there is no receptionist as well, please keep your important stuff with you if you are staying here & going out for some work or just to hangout with friends. The kitchen staff was nice tho, they were very polite and well behaved.

Not terrible, but the bedding is. You get two blankets that are stained and gross, with a top sheet to protect yourself from these blankets. No duvets, just questionable blankets. 70% of the other provided linens and towels are clean. Otherwise very basic, but does the job. Extra point for the truly bizzare (but wonderfully so) paintings in the rooms.

Unforgettable experience I had to wait in the lobby for 15 minutes while the manager attended to another guest. He could have just gave them the key, but he decided to tell the whole story about how he was supposed to give them room #8, but since they are rich and paying good money, he's gonna upgrade them and give bigger and nicer room. Cause room #8 was small and only suits poor people.

Room #8, as he mentioned, is small, dark and dirty and they are good customers. They don't deserve that. That was completely unnecessary, but for 15 minutes he kept going rounds about how bad #8 is. At some point he finished and invited me. Guess, which room I got. It was dirty beyond any imagination. Never again. Terrible.

Had a lovely stay and will definitely stay again. It was good value for money (cheap) so as expected wasn't the best in terms of room / decor etc but it did what I needed it to, it was comfortable, the staff were really nice and accommodating, and the breakfast was free and good too! Overall good stay. It could be a bit cleaner, I hated the bedding too lol.

This place was ok, no more no less. Its cheap and in a good central location for transport, parks and museums. Westfield shopping center with all its shops and restaurants is a short walk away. You get what you pay for. This place holds no luxury, but it serves as a place to rest your head. You won't walk away feeling spoiled, but it works for one or two nights. It could be cleaner and it has no lift. Breakfast is simple and of the cereal, Tea and toast variety. The breakfast host did offer warm croissants, though!

I've stayed in this hotel a few years back and was really happy with it, so when I was planning a trip to London with my friends this year, where we'd stay was a no brainer :) Rooms (we had room for 3 people) might be small for some, but I didn't think something bigger was needed, since we were there to explore the London, not the hotel room.

Our room was cleaned everyday, we had a mini fridge, kettle with tea, coffee, sugar and cream, TV and a fan in the room as well. Bathroom a bit smaller, but nothing you can't handle. We were offered room no. 3 and 16. In 3 we spent the first night and the rest of our stay we were in room 16, since we chose to agree to switch the rooms. The staff kindly moved our luggage, so we didn't have to worry about it.

In room no. 3 we had wifi connection, but in room no. 16 we didn't. The problem was solved immediately when we asked the staff about it and were given passwords to a different wifi :) The staff is very friendly and always helpful. As for us, we enjoyed our breakfasts - cereals, toasts, croissant, boiled egg, butter, cheeses, marmalades, nutella, tea, coffee, orange juice or just water.

Hotel is just across the street from O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire. There is also a lovely park, Westfield shopping centre and the Shepherd's Bush underground station are just 5 min walk from the hotel. Also I'd recommend the Italian place right next to the hotel :) Next time, I go to London, I'll definitely choose Grantly Hotel again.
