We pride ourselves on using local Scottish produce sourced from local suppliers, and all our dishes are freshly cooked to order. Our Restaurant serves high quality cuisine, making it the place to relax and enjoy nice and tasty food in this picturesque conservation village, and why not enjoy your meal with a good pint or nice glass of wine served at the table.
As well as a lounge bar in our restaurant we also have a separate pub (over 18s) which offers a cosy atmosphere and proves very popular with the locals. This part of the building originates from around 1700 and has always been the local pub. The old original sandstone walls have been exposed and cleaned and provide an authentic setting for a pint or two. The Pub has BT Sports with a multiple flat screen TVs for all the big live games and events. You can also play your favourite songs on our jukebox.
All of our rooms have WIFI available, LCD TV with 36 channels, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities. Iron and ironing board available on request. Drying facilities for any outdoor clothing available. Your comfort as the guest is very important to us and therefore we use only the most comfortable of beds and the best of cotton bed linen resulting in a comfortable sleep. A warm welcome at this clean and comfortable Inn, we enjoyed our short stay and the breakfast was great too. Such a wonderful experience.

We were staying in an apartment nearby for the weekend and this was listed as one of the local places to eat. The food was awful. Very greasy and not cooked well at all. Not many healthy options to choose from at all but even the healthiest options were not! Very bland and tasteless. There was nobody in when we arrived so we were served straight away with 2 members of staff falling over themselves to look after us. They must be bored!

The hotel is very over priced, 90 with no breakfast, bathroom ceiling had previously had a leak but the ceiling had not been repainted. The bath tap heads missing and shower was cold. Would have informed staff but no one around when we checked out even when we pushed the bell at reception. Very disappointed and certainly will not stay again.

Ordered pub menu fish and chips, the price was on par with most pub grub meals, however when my meal arrived it was an obvious frozen wedge shaped fish that could have been bought cheaply in the supermarket, chips were thin cut and tasteless. I did ask if the fish was frozen and that was confirmed. A catering bag of frozen haddock defrosted and battered to ordered would have at least left the client feeling they had value for money. No attention to detail here. No customer satisfaction either.

We stayed here many times last year and always had great customer service. However this time round we found the prices to be outrageous at 85 for a room with no breakfast and when I tried to speak to a manager he basically pointed me towards barstaff to pay the outstanding bill. We chose to stay here even though it is further away from where we were working but next time we will certainly be staying somewhere else at a much cheaper price
