The Glenlyn is set within large Victorian terraced houses and, although, retaining many of the original architectural features, we are able to offer our guests the high standards of comfort and service expected. Our bedrooms have their own distinctive decor giving a homely and cosy feeling. We are privileged that many of our guests return and also have the pleasure of welcoming new guests that have been recommended. The Glenlyn is a family run hotel helped by a small team of caring staff who between us, aim to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Services
As a guest you can either relax in our private bar before or after an evening out with friends, or unwind in our garden which provides a delightful setting on a sunny day. A full English or Continental breakfast is served every morning in our large, light and airy conservatory. We try and source our produce from local traders where possible. North Finchley has many good restaurants and bars within a short walking distance and our receptionists will be ready to offer any recommendations.

I have stayed at this hotel lots of times over the last five years and always have an enjoyable experience. The hotel has a great location close to the high street and the tube station. You can just hop onto the tube at Woodside Park and will be in London City centre in around 25 minutes. The rooms are airy and clean. There is a lovely garden and a great breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful. A great place to stay and good value for money too.

Travelling for work. Wasn't tto convinced after receiving email that staff might not be there when I arrive, and was advised to ring 10 min before arrival- no success as line busy all the time. Fortunately, staff was there, premises better than expected- spacious dinning room and big garden. I liked the decor throughout-maybe slightly dated but tasteful and clean.
No evening meal on offer but there's a busy street round the corner with plenty places to eat. Breakfast was alright- it would benefit from printed menu instead of waitress reciting all the options for each guest. Will definitely return.

Booked room for my elderly mother. went to see a couple of rooms which were adequate but requested bath & ground floor to make it easier for her which i was told would be available. when we checked in and was shown the room there was no way i was going to leave her. chipped furniture, bald carpets chipped bath. not nice at all and for a crazy price. thank goodness for travel lodge.

We all have special places. Some of them are so special that make you feel at home away from home. This is my home away from home. The staff, the manager, the rooms, the ambiance makes you feel cozy, . comfortable. as like if you are home I have been here many times and everytime I really love it. Small blessings we have in life and I give thanks for it.

We were visiting Finchley to attend a friends birthday party and booked one nights stay at the Glenlyn Hotel, booked a room and were delighted to be upgraded to an apartment, and what an apartment. The staff were excellent and the receptionist could not have been more friendly and helpful. We are so impressed that we will most certainly book there again when we return in January 2018 for another party

I stayed here on a recent business trip. Very friendly staff. Room basic, but clean, and adequate. Breakfast was included, with a selection of cereals, pastries, fruit etc.there is also a cooked breakfast if you prefer, with a choice of sausage, bacon, tomato, mushroom and scrambled egg. Sausage was like rubber and bacon always overdone so didn't enjoy too much.
Location is good, not far from Woodside tube station, and a high street with restaurants and bars. So not far to go for dinner etc. I would stay here again. It was fine for business trip. All on all, pleasant stay.

Cute little rooms had everything I needed, including a tea kettle, shampoo, soap, and body lotion. The yard in the back is adorable with a tree full of apples. Lastly, the breakfast spread in the morning was divine. I don't know if I was just that hungry or if it was just that good, but the bacon and sausages were amazing! Also provided: eggs, beans, toast, pastries, cereal, juices, and coffee.
In short, pleased with everything - a wonderful welcome to a new country. Oh yes, the hotel is also conveniently located close to a train/tube station, multiple convenient stores, and tons of restaurants.

I want to give them 5 stars so badly but one thing holds me back. When we booked our stay with them we were doing so because they were so close to the tube and we were visiting friends who lived down the line. Well the weekend we booked they didn't mention that the tube would be down, although they knew this. It bothers me they don't mention this to guests coming to the city unaware of the regular maintenance. Yes, I could have found this out on my own, but not even knowing to look I think a hotel that boasts tube access should have to be upfront with incoming guests about these local situations.
That said, this place was otherwise totally amazing. Great room (though I apologize to the guests below us, apparently our tub was leaking and it dripped into their room - goes with the Victorian house territory), beautiful garden out back, cute neighborhood, awesome free breakfast. This place was tops, highly recommend - just make sure you check the tube maintenance schedule if you're staying here for easy transport! We spent a mint on car fare. Eish.

I loved this place. I would easily book a night here if I return to London in the future. Excellent service and proximity to grocery stores, banks, restaurants, and of course The Tube. Breakfast was amazing. Eggs, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, bread, milk, cereal, coffee, and a ton more. I ate like a king for breakfast every day, which was necessary to maintain an energy level while touring London and surrounding areas.
The staff were wonderfully polite, friendly, and helpful. I personally think a bed and breakfast is the way to go. This particular one is an excellent bang for your buck, uh I mean pound.

Zuzana help me book a night here.the website originally booked an apartment for NEXT year, yet I wanted one for this summer. She and I talked about what was available, and we reserved two adjacent rooms for my husband and I, and a room for our pre-teen daughters. Check in was smooth, the rooms were small but clean and cozy, and the breakfast was pretty good, by American standards.
Parking in front was ample (it was mid-July) and the tube station was about a 5 minute walk. The rooms were not air-conditioned, and though fairly cool outside, even with the provided in-room fan, it was pretty darn warm! As to be expected, no elevator/lift, so be prepared to carry luggage up stairs. I would DEFINITELY stay here again, especially if I had a car to park! Thanks, Zuzana!
