Services
The recipe is straightforward. Imagination. Inspiration. The finest local ingredients. Welsh beef, salt-marsh lamb, sea bass and lobsters from the bays are all used when available and in season. Vegetables and herbs from our walled garden. Much from within 10 miles. A highly-skilled kitchen. Careful preparation.
We are nice people. And we are drawn to other nice people. So when we find something a bit special we're inclined to share it. Which is why we've given up a bit of our very own website to highlight the work of some of our friends. The thinking goes that if you love us, you'll love them. And isn't that what makes the world go round?

Wedding location and staff who assisted us on the day are are fantastic. Rachel Morgan, our wedding co ordinator was so attentive, and helpful. Rachel was assigned to us a couple of months before the wedding and thank goodness she was. We had made many complaints about the lack of communication and disorganisation we experienced on the run up to the wedding.
At this point we were escalating complaints to the directors of Oldwalls as we were becoming increasingly concerned that the proclaimed ' 5 start service' ( and price tag) was gravely miss- Sold. Beware of the ' rustic retreats' offered at a very premium price. Dirty bed linen, ammenities such as the hot tub and toilets broken - granted, they abused by previous wedding parties meant that we couldn't use many of the facilities.
We did raise this with the directors but weren't offered compensation. Our advice is to do your research as there are plenty of venues in south wales that offer an amazing service, at a less premium price.

We attended a friend's wedding and found the whole venue simple " mind blowing " and perfect in everyway.the whole facility, the total surroundings, the warm, friendly, super efficient staff all made it a VERY special experience with food and drink to match.if your looking for an awesome venue to celebrate in style then this is the place to do it.it's also part of a unique part of Wales

My wife and I took two 90+ year old relatives to our niece's wedding at this beautiful venue. Nothing was too difficult or too much trouble for the ever-smiling staff to accommodate their needs. For ourselves, the venue was a perfect setting for our niece's wedding. The food was outstanding, both at the wedding and the breakfast next day. The nonagenarians were transported too and from their level-access room by the venue's golf buggy. All in all, an outstanding venue

My husband and I got married here this September 2021, and the staff could not have gone more above and beyond on the day! This really is a very special venue, not only because of the beautiful architecture, stylish interiors and beautiful grounds, but the staff really do make it a wonderful experience to get married here! Special thanks to Greg who was our coordinator, you're a star!
