Edgcumbe Hotel The Edgcumbe Hotel has been lovingly looked after by three siblings and their partners for over 17 years. With an unstuffy relaxed atmosphere, you can immediately feel the easy vibes from the moment you arrive. As a small charismatic beach hotel, The Edgcumbe has the heart and the soul of a family run business. With Nordic inspired design, our rooms are filled with natural light and offer a calm & relaxing space to return to after the hustle and bustle of your busy day. Simple, stylish and functional.
Services
Our bedrooms have a modern simple yet stylish design with functionality and practicality. The rooms offer calm & comfort away from the chaos of todays' busy lifestyles. We have 12 bedrooms rooms over two floors, with a mix of smaller quirky standard doubles at the rear to larger sea view rooms at the front.
The entire ground floor of the Edgcumbe is dedicated to food and drink! Made up of three rooms, we have the main restaurant, the Snug Bar, and the sun lounge. Each room has something unique to offer and everyone's got a favourite! The cosy snug dog friendly Bar area, the light and airy sun lounge, or the lively hub of the larger main restaurant.
With two stunning beaches a stones throw away, you can try your hand at a number of water sports if you dare! In the swell of the Atlantic Ocean, get Surfing, and Kayaking. For those who prefer to be on the water rather than in it, try the calmer Canal on a Paddle boat or row boat! If you're early enough you might even join the locals who regularly take a dip in our historic sea pool at sunrise, wetsuit not necessary!
What better location than where coast meets countryside for you to share your special momentous occasions with your valued friends and closest family. The micro wedding is an ever increasingly popular option in these times. The Edgcumbe Hotel is a perfect setting for those who want an all under one roof intimate affair from 10 to 40 people.

I cannot begin to say how lovely, brilliant and absolutely fantastic hotel is. Not only are the staff here amazing and absolutely wonderful, the family which runs the business is absolutely lovely and my heart goes out especially to Emma for helping us out, as well to the lady who told me my wetsuit was on the wrong way and found our key when it went down the sofa!

The Deck, which is also ran by the family and same staff and offers the breakfast (exclusive to hotel members unfortunately) and dinner services, as well as bar services in the hotel as well. The Deck is also lovely as well and I have rated it too! Lunch is not served at the Deck sadly. Onto the rooms! So, the place is all in all lovely and the beds are quite good, however they are a little springy.

The bathrooms we had were en-suite and small, but they still were amazing. The only thing I will say is that some of the rooms are a little packed in, and me and others knocked our knees on the beds a few times. All in all, this place is amazing! It is also important to note that there are quiet times in the hotel where it is closed and checkout is offered during some of these times! It allows for you to have a nice rest and relax in the hotel as well!

We really enjoyed our 2 nights stay. Giving us a welcome rest from walking the SWCP. Our room was fabulous. Both nights we dined in The Deck restaurant which is part of this hotel. Excellent food and beverages. The staff were great, being family owned. Highly recommend.

Good hotel! We chose not to have a sea view as it is getting dark so early at the moment. My girlfriend and I thought that the room was nice, and fine for a short stay, but would be a little too small for more than two nights. The bathroom was tiny but good quality, the main room was clean, well presented with a large modern smart TV. The mini fridge made a slight noise and shuddered a bit when starting the motor but wasn't overly noisy.

Good quality breakfast, however as a 6,4 tall man, I would have liked 2 eggs, 2 hash browns and 2 sausages, we only got 1 of each. The hotel employs good staff. I would be happy to stay again.

We attended a wedding here this weekend. It was fabulous. Staff go above and beyond & are very friendly & helpful. We had a room on the top floor at the back but this didn't bother us. The room was clean and bright. There is tea/coffee making facilities and you get fresh milk. Toiletries are provided & there are large wrap around towels. Excellent.

First time to Bude and definitely won't be my last, the hotel is absolutely fantastic! The staff are so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The pictures do not do it justice, thank you so much for putting up with us while filming. Hope to see you all again soon, thanks again. Take care and stay safe
