I always have a lovely stay at The Edgar. It's clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond. On my last stay, the receptionist, Debbee, even heard that it was my birthday and brought some chocolates up to my room! I have stayed here a lot and my time at the guesthouse is consistently a great experience. The breakfasts are great and the rooms are bright. It is great value in a great location. I can't praise them enough. I really recommend staying in this beautiful guesthouse. :

Charming little hotel. Very clean and the gentleman at the reception is very nice and helpful. I liked the breakfast room. It's nicely decorated and the other resting room is also very pretty. Breakfast is very simple and i think this hotel would benefit if it was a buffet but for one night it was fine. At least they have a veg option for the breakfast so that was handy for me.
My room was clean but small compare to the picture. I think there are larger rooms as well for a more expensive price so here we go. The shower was very warm and since it was a freezing day that was pleasant. Due to sash traditional windows the room was cold even when the radiator was on but that is me being used to super warm i guess. Bed very confortable and location is very convenient in a Fairly quiet street 10 min walk from the main town centre. You can get a voucher from the hotel to park your car for 8 pounds a day unless you pay at the machine a little further down.

Fantastic little hotel a few minutes walk from bath town center. The breakfast menu is pretty extensive with poached eggs and salmon as a choice and plenty of other breakfast choices from full English, cereal, bagels and cream cheese and other things. Staff were very friendly and helpful and accomodating. Room was cosy and clean as was the ensuite.
Perfect for a couple of nights. The one thing I will say is this: Turn off the floodlight outside the hotel. It shines directly into the bedrooms and the blinds in the bedrooms don't block out the light that well. The light shines around the blind and into the room disturbing our sleep. That said I would absolutely stay here again. We've had s fantastic time and been to the spa and Roman baths less than a 10 minute walk away!

Lovely accommodation clean very comfortable beds, lovely shower excellent breakfast and very friendly accommodating staff. They provide a permit for parking which can sometimes be difficult to find a space but once found can leave the car and walk into centre etc. The one and only drawback no lift but staff amazing at assisting with bags/cases up to rooms. Would not hesitate to book again

The hotel is a short walk from the town centre. The room was cosy and clean. We loved the breakfast, it was well presented and tasty. The staff were very accommodating, even when we forgot to book our slot. The only reason I didn't give a five stars is because I would've loved to use a phone to call reception when needed, rather than having to go downstairs each time. All in all, we had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

A nice well kept 12 bedroom hotel, ten minutes stroll from the town centre. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice. I had a single room and it had a big ceiling fan and a lovely view over a sports ground. No lifts so a few steps to the 4th floor. There is a small bar but I did not avail of it. Highly recommended.

Me and my girlfriend recently visited Bath and stayed at The Edgar Townhouse. It has a great central location so you can nip back and to from the town without any issues. The breakfast is great with a number of different cooked and continental options available from full English, salmon, cereals etc. We chose the loft room which meant walking up a number of stairs so be aware if you are staying here.
We are in our mid twenties and relatively fit but we can imagine plenty of people struggling with this. One thing we were thinking of when we were coming to Bath was parking but the 8 parking permit offered by the Edgar was perfect and we had no issues finding a space. Overall it was a great place to stay. Everything from staff, location and even parking was great. If we were to stay in Bath again or recommend anywhere then the Edgar Townhouse would be at the forefront of our minds.
