Excellent stay from start to finish. Stayed at Dukes Hotel in Bath for five nights. Absolutely fantastic staff. Very friendly but not over bearing. Within walking distance of the main area of Bath. It was about a 20 minute walk from the train station with luggage. Our room was immaculate and over looked the Main Street which was beautiful at night.
Room was small by American standards but well set up and very clean. Probably the best breakfast I ever had at a hotel which was included in the rate. The only issue might be is that most rooms require the guest to walk up a series of steps. There is no elevator. Did not present a problem during our stay. One thing I really liked was that I could crack the window a bit to get fresh air.

The staff are very professional and very helpful in every way. The rooms are clean and well presented. The breakfast is second to none. Carol the owner makes you feel at home and goes out of her way to enhance your stay. The hotel is perfectly located for the centre of Bath. My wife and I have stayed at the Dukes twice and on both occasions it was perfect.

Excellent boutique hotel, centrally located within 5 mins walk of Pulteney Bridge, the main shopping area and many attractions. The staff and owner were friendly and very helpful. The hotel has a small bar. It also has an excellent breakfast menu all freshly prepared and cooked by their chef. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel is clean and staff are friendly. The breakfast is good with the service being amenable to a few changes. I booked direct with the hotel as I got a discount for 3 nights booking direct which wasn't available through booking.com or others. The location is fabulous, 5 minutes to Henrietta's park gardens, 10 mins to Sydney gardens and canal. 10 mins to the Pulteney bridge and centre. Remember to use your Bath Reward Card when booking attractions and paying bills, you get this with the hotel Dukes stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Classy place, lovely staff, they made looking after us look so effortless. The room was charming and felt luxurious. Fabulous bathroom, pretty suite, comfy bed and linen. Very clean and well cared for. Staff went the extra mile to help with any of our requests. Super close to the centre of Bath. We will certainly be returning.

My traveling companions and I were in the UK for 12 days. This was by far our best hotel experience. The customer service by Alexander and Carol was exceptional, and personal. The bed was made with crisp linens, and the room was clean and lovely. It is situated in the perfect spot to see Bath. I believe it made our trip to Bath the best part of our UK visit.

Superb hotel, fantastic welcoming staff, nothing too much trouble. We stayed in a suite, the room was lovely, spotlessly clean, and the bed was so comfortable. The Dukes is ideal for city centre visits only a couple of minutes walk into the centre over the lovely Poultney Bridge, plenty of good restaurants close by. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Dukes Hotel. Thank you all for making our special stay so very special

We had a wonderful stay at Dukes. From the minute we walked in the door we were made to feel so welcome. We were offered an upgrade which was well worth it. fantastic suite! We couldn't fault the hotel, staff, food, service etc. And the location is very convenient for central Bath. We shall certainly be back!

A perfect find in a perfect location that helped make for a perfect 50th birthday celebration for my wife. Dukes Hotel was stunning, the real deal with originality in abundance. I cannot thank Carole, Nicky, Tom, Roman and all the team enough for their first class service throughout our stay, nothing at all was too much trouble and their attention to detail was second to none. Thank you again, we cannot wait to return. Sean and Jo

This hotel provides all you need when visiting Bath for a weekend. We visited for the Christmas market and weren't disappointed. It's walking distance from all the major local landmarks/ attractions and the hospitality of the staff is impeccable. We booked the "superior double" which worked out as 270 for two pleasant quiet nights. For this we got a "home and country" styled large room which definitely made me and my husband feel like we on our own little private get away;) In our room there was a nice selection of complimentary teas and coffees and water.
We had a medium sized digital TV and a hair dryer. The Bathroom had a huge bath which was good but meant the toilet and sink were in a tight corner. This is overlooked when you consider how old the building is. The building a large corner Georgian brick house definitely lives up to its old reputation. Had we stayed any longer than the weekend the hotel ( along with its creaky floors ) have lost its quaint charm.
What would keep me coming back? The breakfast; cooked and continental options for breakfast are tasty and classy. Not to mention you are greeted by a host who is genuinely interested in you and makes for a great start to the day.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The Olympic relay torch was on the street of the hotel at the time so there was no parking. The Manager Michael went out of his way and drove around to find us a spot to park in. All of the managers here were awesome. Thank you guys for a pleasant stay. It was much appreciated.
