The Dormy House Hotel has been in the Jarvis Family since 1981, started in the first instance by Jean & John, followed by Sons and Daugther in Laws. Over this time there has been many additional extensions, adding En Suite Bedrooms, Bar Lounge, New Kitchen, Large Restaurant and a six person lift. Since 1998 a Carvery was introduced which has proved to be a great success with the locals and become well known throughout East Anglia and further field.

Enjoyed an amazing carvery meal here. Visited on Mothering Sunday night and had no trouble in getting a table. We received a warm and friendly greeting from all those who served us and Susie who took our order made us feel very welcome. The food was superb. My wife and I both had pork and it was cooked to perfection. The vegetables were tasty and fresh and included some extra ingredients to make them extra special. We like the place so much and always visit when we are in the area.

Had an amazing stay, staff couldn't do enough for us including a room upgrade, as I was working from home I felt very welcome and slept like a log on the astoundingly comfortable bed, the rooms were very clean and well stocked with the necessary items to make my stay a very pleasurable one. Thank you so much for the amazing service and I will not hesitate to stay with you again. I have recommended your hotel to my friends and family.

Room was nice. Clean and well equipped. Shame the bar area is now like a back street boozer with the Very noisy locals, and barking dogs within the bar.dogs sitting on chairs! Thought dogs should not be aloud in, as they kept barking at anyone who came in. Noise from bar went on late into the evening. Children running up and down corridors near bedrooms.!
No notices telling them not too. Music from kitchens early mornings. Bom Bom drove us mad. Breakfast was good, but did not eat evening meal here as we knew what the carvery was like. (good). Would not stay here again. Was very disappointed as it was our anniversary, and 1st time away in 2 years. Only plus, staff were nice, June in restaurant was very polite and helpful.

Visited the Dormy House for a carvery on Sunday the 13th of March with my father and a friend and it was first class. It was busy but the staff were very friendly and the service first class. The carvery was great value and the food of a high standard. The veg were cooked to perfection. Not my first visit and it won't be my last. No wonder the car park is always busy.

Lovely comfortable spacious room with a huge snuggly bed! Shower over the bath. Tea/coffee facilities which gets replenished when required. Lovely view of the sea! Friendly and helpful staff, and the included breakfast has lots of variety. The dinners were SO tasty, very big portions! I would certainly recommend this lovely quaint hotel!
