Services
Built between 1908 and 1911 as a seaside country house, the Cransley was converted into a small private hotel for paying guests in 1939. Designed in the Arts and Crafts style on Knyveton Road, an avenue of ancient pines, this graceful detached house is a close neighbour to the homes of some of Britain's most important and historic Victorian and Edwardian figures. Prime Minister Lord Derby, The Sheriff of Hampshire, Edward VII and Lillie Langtry all had houses on the Knyveton and Derby Road crossroads.
Double bedroom with large leaded window in the centre of the house; aspect is through the pines towards Knyveton Road. En suite shower room. All our rooms are decorated and furnished to a high standard - stylishly traditional with a contemporary twist. For less mobile guests, a double and twin en suite rooms are situated on the ground floor.
Our elegant, south-facing breakfast room affords a delightful aspect of the rear garden. During the summer months in fine weather we open the French doors so you can enjoy breakfast with the sunshine and fragrant blooms. You can choose to start the day with our traditional English breakfast, home cooked using local produce wherever possible. We are happy to provide vegetarian alternatives on request, and Continental style breakfasts are available to those with less substantial appetites.

The room didn't look like the fotos it had a smell of mold and it was really small. no windows on the bathroom so the towels was always wet.we stayed 4 days and they didn't change the bed sheets not even once. English breakfast really basic and dry.plus we had a racist behavior from the owner because we are Greeks he didn't like the way we eat our breakfast. A place that I'm not going to visit ever again

We have just returned from our stay in Simon and Jonathan's beautiful & elegant home in Dorset. On arrival, we were made to feel very welcome indeed and nothing was too much trouble during our visit. The breakfast was cooked perfectly and there was always plenty to eat and drink. We had a lovely stylish room too and everything we needed. All in all, a wonderful place to stay which is centrally located for many different trips around Dorset. Thank you for your hospitality Simon & Jonathan.

From start to end our holiday at Cransley B&B was excellent. We would recommend it to anyone. The breakfast was wonderful. Great coffee. Simon and Richard were always happy to offer any advice about the local area. They even lent us a HDMI lead. The B&B also has a beautiful garden. There are two adorable, well-behaved dogs too. We will definitely be back .
