The Sunbathers by the Hungarian-born artist Peter Laszlo Peri was created for the Festival of Britain in 1951 and greeted visitors to the exhibition at the South Bank as they left Waterloo Station. But the festival was only ever meant to be temporary and after it ended it was thought that many of the sculptures were lost.

A wonderful experience. Fine dining and good service. Government guidelines are still in place. Therefore, we are to support by keeping up the hygiene and maintenance for safety and well-being. Lovely comfortable seating and fabulous garden and facilities are top notch. Quaint bar and good service separate to the restaurant fine cuisine. Affordability according to your budget.
Family oriented and cosmopolitan crowd. A lot of green space area with a good view. Plenty of sun light flowing through the building. Great for all occasions. We had a birthday special party. The staff take part also. Good location and easy to find. Try Google Maps. Go for an afternoon tea to try it out. Or just surprise the wife; To remind her how special she really is.lol. Staff are very helpful and informed. Room was always kept clean and privacy was respected when asked for. Breakfast service is very good as well with a variety of foods available on buffet basis. Location is suited for families as there is an park literally in front of the hotel. The area Blackheath is very well connected to the center through buses and trains/underground services. Finally, there a lot of day to day shops in the neighborhood for those who like to do their own shopping while on vacation.

The hotel is lovely. For a 3* hotel, you get a 5* service. The staff are well mannered and respectful. They do go above and beyond. I must say the kitchen staff and waitresses are superb with an eye for detail. I've been to 5* hotels and haven't returned due to basic service. This hotel feels like a 5*. The only downfall is the parking is limited. I would advise you to take public transport to avoid disappointment. We would visit again.

Had a 3 course meal on a Friday lunch time. Restaurant quiet but still had a lovely ambiance. Food was a good quality. Head waitress was very attentive. A great relaxed atmosphere, great setting to catch up with friends. 4 stars given because spacing between starters and main was quite quick however this us a personal preference.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast is exactly what you need with the traditional makings of an English breakfast and all the continental options you expect to see. The rooms are a little in need of renovations, but to stay in a location so central and for the price, its a good deal. The parking is difficult, but you have a chance of finding a space which you can't expect everywhere in London. Overall, a really pleasant stay.

Had a night's stay at the Clarendon and will have another stay for a few nights. The room was not big but as we only needed to sleep there it didn't matter. The staff were friendly and breakfast was good and could refill if required. The coffee with breakfast was a tad strong. As it is a older building lot of squeaky floorboards. We were at a concert at the o2 and is a short bus trip door to door. As I said would return next visit to London.

A nice hotel with some lovely views. My wife and I got married here and it was lovely. The real hidden secret is the chart bar downstairs. You can sit in comfort and avoid the crowds if you want food and/or drink on a Friday or Saturday night and you haven't booked anywhere. A good range of drinks and friendly staff.

They provided a lovely afternoon tea with menus suitable both for adults & small children - a couple of us had the fizz option providing a glass of Prosecco which was most palatable - the sandwiches were clearly all freshly made, with the option of brown or white bread. Scones, cream & jam were most acceptable, as were the cakes. In celebration of the season they included Christmas cake. All very good and no chance of leaving feeling hungry. Staff were efficient and delightful. A very happy experience so thank you to the Clarendon.

We have stayed here a few times and have usually been happy When we arrived for this stay my wife noticed a bad stain on the bedding. This was noticeable from a distance We were really unhappy and complained The receptionist came and instantly agreed. We were then moved to another room. This room was fine and clean We had booked on booking. Com so we checked the price.
The room we had been given we noticed was cheaper than the one we had booked and paid for We mentioned this at reception and were told that they would not refund the difference. After a lengthy discussion with the manager they refunded half the difference. It was not alot of money, but still very annoying that they couldn't see our argument

I love this hotel and it has undergone a full refurbishment in the rooms. However thos meant to room we had this time had a bathroom that had a door with no closure on it. If you wanted it to stay closed you had to put the bin in front of it. Also breakfast although good was busy so there were things that were either slow or not repelnished at all, which again is unusual. I am sure both are easily remedied and will be. Still love this hotel and would always go back.

We recently stayed here for 1 night as we were attending a Wedding. On arrival we found the staff very friendly and helpful. We booked a standard double room which was very clean and tidy. The shower was a little tight, but for the price I'm not complaining. The water was piping hot and for a large hotel, was great. Very easy (walking distance) to get to the nearby shops, local attractions and restaurant's etc.
We managed to get (not guaranteed) a parking space which was a real bonus. We had a room at the back, which was lovely and quiet, so slept really well. And the breakfast, which was included, was very good indeed. Many thanks to you all.

We stayed at the Claradon hotel on Saturday. What a lovely experience. Staff were amazing. We came on a coach trip. What a lovely room and spotlessly clean. Everything you could possibly need was in our room.we stayed in the hotel for a meal. Our meals were excellent. The waiting staff and bar staff were lovely. There were 15 of us so they had their hands full with us.nothing was too much trouble for them. Excellent service.

The place is very easy to get to a lot of bus stops around the area and the nearest train station is just a couple of minutes away by foot. We had a small event around 50 guests the place is really nice with access to their garden and the food is much better compared to other luxury hotels. The staff are great very helpful and friendly. Didn't have the chance to stay but my kins who stayed overnight said breakfast is much better than other hotels within London area. They said they never had breakfast better than Clarendon. Looking forward to have another event or maybe check in next time to relax.

Just back from an action packed Family break in London where we made the Clarendon our base.as ever the rooms were great, the staff fantastic, food was brilliant with great selection same with the drinks. which is essential after a long day sight seeing! my 2 lads loved it and seeing the posh pigeons flying round( the green parakeets) made there stay! many thanks and we will see you again soon!
