Chymorvah House exists to further the Christian faith through providing short breaks, holidays, and retreats. As well as a place for Christians to seek God in our quiet and peaceful surroundings. We aim to be a safe place for those who simply want to explore the Christian faith with a free tarot reading, with a strong emphasis on Angels, Jesus and his life, or the principles of Christianity.
Services
There are too many places to visit in Cornwall to cover here, so we've just listed a few nearby sites together with their typical distance by road and driving time from Chymorvah. A tiny fishing village just west of Penzance, Mousehole (pronounced 'mou-saul') is best explored on foot as the narrow, winding and often steep roads are not designed for cars.

Kevin Quinn, you're completely off! To those who say that people's religious views should be respected, I would say that discrimination is ALWAYS WRONG. For example the Bible has passages in Exodus where God teaches Moses how to buy and sell slaves. not only that, women were the property of men and you could even sell your daughter into slavery. Would you respect THOSE religious views?
Plus this place is run down and the owners have no idea of how to maintain safety and cleanliness. For that reason alone I would not recommend staying here. Plus poor quality food and religious messages everywhere. No thanks.

I appreciate so much your deep love and desire to follow God and keep marriage sacred, Peter and HazelMary. Do not fear men who can kill the body, but cannot kill the soul. Few people would have the courage to stand up to our watered-down society and hold fast to the God you love. Keep smiling, God is good and he loves you.

It's disspicable how they have been treated, this country should be ashamed ruining peoples lives like this. You own a shop and you can refuse to serve someone for no reason at all. Yet they have a Religious Beliefs and get taken to court for doing the same thing with a reason, this country is a joke. So sorry for you Both

AVOID CHYMORVAH - DIRTY UNSAFE HOTEL AND RELIGIOUS NIGHTMARE We were particularly disappointed with this hotel - although the owners went to very considerable lengths indeed to attempt to persuade us to leave a favorable comment with Tripadvisor. Apparently numerous people who stayed earlier were dissatisfied and made their thoughts known and there appeared to be a genuine failure to comprehend most things in this small hotel are simply substandard.
Unfortunately the whole establishment is quite old, shabby, 'tired' and most disappointing of all it's not particularly clean anywhere. The bathroom in our bedroom was probably at least thirty years old and everywhere looked as though it needed a through deep clean - we have the photos to prove this too! Numerous fire doors are propped open most of the time and I have serious doubts if the elderly owners are actually aware of the simple fact it's now illegal not to be fully compliant with mandatory fire regulations applied to Hotels and guest Houses throughout England - we actually felt quite unsafe.
The poultry and pet animals kept on the premises were also in need of attention and cleaning and animal odours seemed to permeate everywhere. The food served was of low quality and after the second day we even had breakfasts elsewhere. Unfortunately, the elderly owners are some sort of fundamentalist evangelical Christians, and although this normally would not be a problem one does not want to read numerous wholly inappropriate religious texts than are crudely and inaccurately reproduced everywhere. Without doubt this is the worst small hotel or guest house that I have ever had the misfortune to visit and would advise any discerning visitor to totally avoid.

This was the BEST hotel I have ever stayed at in my life! My husband and I stayed there last summer and it was our first time to England and to Cornwall. The hotel had the most gorgeous view in the world and overlooked St. Michaels mount perfectly. The hotel was right in the middle of all of the places we wanted to see in Cornwall such as St. Ives, Penzance, Miniack Theatre, etc.
So it was the perfect location! The cream tea in the garden was a memory I'll cherish for the rest of my life! I'll never forget how amazing and relaxing those moments were as we listened to the waves crashing ashore. What an amazing place and I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

It is a shame there are so many hateful people. The owners, least as far as I could deduce, were friendly and loving, they simply had rules that people did not like. They did not display hate in their refusal to allow unmarried couples from staying in their room. I find it deplorable that people are being hateful and ugly to these two for having a stance, and sticking by it.
There is no need for someone to hate them for disagreeing with them. I would have thought that the "anti-bullying" "Tolerance" crowd could handle polite and friendly people that disagreed with their viewpoint. Someone else made the point, and I'm reiterating it. The bigots are not the B and B owners. They have simple rules and they stood by their principles. Commendable.
