Arrived at Penzance and it was a lovely hotel decorated to a really high beautiful standard however disappointing about arriving and being charged for parking after advertised that it has free parking. Room was very clean and decorated lovely however we upgraded to a sea view but wasn't really worth it and wouldn't recommend and room was very very small. Food was absolutely lovely at dinner and staff very friendly. I just think it's a little overpriced for what it is.

Good location and decent quality of room. I found the room was had some constant noice early in the morning going to afternoon. The garden bar restaurant is quite good with ample vegetarian options. View from both the restaurant and the room was sublime. 5 min walk to penzanze station, bus stop and the town center making it very convenient location.

Lovely room, the comfiest bed ever! Lovely bathroom with plenty of hot water! Beautiful view across Penzance. The breakfast was a slight let down. There was no buffet bar with cereals or juice on offer. The menu was good but slightly confusing. I had pancakes and bacon. It was 1 slice of bacon and 2 teacup sized pancakes on a massive plate! It tasted great but it was a child's portion!
I wudve been happy with 3 pancakes and 2 slices of bacon and there wudve been less empty plate visible? (I'm not greedy, I was hungry) And it definitely wasn't worth 9.75! So I filled up with coffee which was very nice! Penzance town is literally 5 minutes walk away!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Near to the beach and train station. Bright, clean and lovely room with really nice sea view. We enjoyed our stay but a bit disappointed with the restaurant. Although it is nice and has lovely view, winter menu is limited. We appreciate Enya help, she is really friendly and welcoming, her helpfulness and friendliness made us feel that we were her own guests. Thank you Enya and thank you Hotel Penzance.

We stayed at the Hotel Penzance for a couple of nights a few days ago, early December. I must say we had a wonderful stay. Obviously, out of season, we didn't pay as much as in season, and we had no trouble parking in the small car park. The staff were delightful, friendly, welcoming and helpful. One carried a very heavy case up to our room for us, and at 75 I found that a blessing!
The room with a view over the harbour was beautiful and the on-suite was immaculate and well appointed. We loved the food, and my Eggs Benedict for breakfast was the best I have ever had. Excellent.

Arrived in Penzance Station early evening, to a storm. Took a short journey in a taxi to the Penzance Hotel. Greeted with a warm friendly welcome. Asked about my requirements for dining and breakfast, and Covid rules politely explained. Escorted to my room. The room was a dream. Spacious, beautifully furnished, large comfy bed and quality bedding.
Wonderful bathroom. Modern 48 inch TV. Kettle and coffee maker, with generous, quality tea, coffee and biscuits. Warm welcome in the excellent dining room. Comfortable seating. Delicious meal. Excellent friendly service. Room with a view: St Michael's Mount, 07:45-08:00 am, the sun at dawn, a calm sea, the tide going out, revealing the causeway. Rating 5*+

Stayed here for 5 nights and had an amazing time. The hotel was very clean and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The view from our room was just amazing, so we spent a lot of time sitting on the cosy armchairs and looking out. We stayed in a dog friendly room which was such a bonus to have our pup with us. The outdoor pool was heated and open all year round, which was perfect. We will definitely be staying here again. It was great and no faults whatsoever.

Really too expensive for what you get. Paid 260 per night and the room was very poor. The wallpaper was hanging off, the side of the bath blistered, and there was black mould on the windows. The restaurant service and food was great, a real highlight, and the outdoor pool (although part cordoned off for safety? No signs just 2 traffic cones and the boards creaking under foot) was nicely heated and clean and another highlight.
Don't expect a parking space although rooms are advertised with parking, we were told that some guests bring multiple cars and that they only have 7 spaces for 20 rooms and the road outside is super busy so you'd be lucky to find a space over the weekend. One night I had to drop my partner off and park over a mile away and hike back to the hotel! A little disappointed that the staff seemed to find guests bringing multiple cars acceptable and that they're not actively discouraging this practice.
Also managed to incorrectly bill us for twice the breakfasts, when we explained the situation it was resolved, however it took a lot of effort to get the bill right in the end so check your invoice carefully. The entrance hallway was very nicely renovated and the sitting rooms were very beautiful and comfy. The garden room was a great place to sit and eat at night and in the day. If you're walking into Penzance or using as a launch pad to other parts of Cornwall it's an ideal location to be in.

I can't help but feel, after spending two nights in Penzance, that this is probably the best hotel in town, but that doesn't make it good. The website presents a picture of what one might want in a hotel on the coast, but doesn't deliver it in any way. It's set in a residential area, which is nice and quiet, and just a short walk to the town center. But, the website is the "best" part of this hotel.
We booked a Superior Double sea view room, which despite it being one of the highest-priced rooms at the hotel, was tiny. The furniture is quite scuffed up, indicating years of wear and tear, and there's no place to store baggage where you won't trip over it at some point. What I absolutely hated about this hotel was the parking lot. If you have a large car, don't come here or arrange alternate parking because your car will not fit.
I lived in the UK for nearly five years and am accustomed to the smaller parking spaces, but these are ridiculous. They're tiny and strangely angled, making it nearly impossible to park within the spot. In fact, several spaces were unavailable because people had to take up two. You're likely to not have a space to park in if you arrive back late and the hotel is full, as there are far fewer spaces than rooms in the hotel.
If they don't have a space, you'll have to find street parking in the adjacent neighborhood. Trying to leave? Good luck. It's a bit of a jam if two cars are trying to leave at the same time, and you'll likely have to blindly back out onto the residential street. Also, the staff is observant, but in a lazy/irresponsible way. For example, at breakfast one morning, the waitress spotted a small bit of food remnants on my wife's bread plate.
Instead of simply getting another one, she quickly flicked the material off of the plate and proceeded to continue serving my wife. Gross! Overall, I wouldn't stay here again. It doesn't meet the expectations it sets for itself, and if a business isn't true to itself, how can it be true to the customer?
