Absolute jewel of a find! Beautiful, classic hotel, tastefully furnished with the very warmest of welcomes from the lovely owner and his staff. Well appointed room with comfortable bed and large en-suite. Luscious breakfast and a relaxing bar area for later. Such a refreshing change from the usual impersonal plastic palaces around nowadays. Thank you for making our stay a little bit extra special!

A hidden gem. Very welcoming staff whom were attentive to our needs. Loved the antiques, height of the ceilings and history of the building. Old fashioned comfortable stay with a great breakfast.

Breakfast was good and staff friendly. We enjoyed our stay, however it could have been so much better. We found a list in one of the drawers with fines of 100 which had to be made if their were marks on the carpet and various other fines as per photo. We only found this by chance and was not informed of this. Straight away we felt very uncomfortable and uneasy in case we happened to spill or break anything by accident.

It is the first time I have ever taken photos of a carpet and torn wallpaper on arriving in case we were accused of doing something. This is only a 3 star hotel and to have these fines put in place is totally unacceptable. To say we darednt move was an understatement which lead to an unrelaxing stay.

Nice building. Private parking. Mixed feelings about the indoors. Bar/breakfast rooms look nice. Bedrooms are big but could definitely use a makeover and more cleanliness. Town cannot be classified as pretty.

The reason why me and my fiancee are rating five star is that we have just come back after staying two nights. We have been here before. The owners/ staff we all kind, welcoming, polite and Professional The breakfast was excellent. The room was high standard. Me and my fiancee will be coming back in the near future.

We had such a great 2 night stay there this past weekend. Room large & reasonably priced, all the staff friendly & helpful and didn't mind us hanging around in the lounge after we checked out. We will be back!
