This place looks good from outside so I decided to try it. I was a warm Inviting place and I would have thought they would have servers to take orders. I realized after 15 minutes of waiting, I went to bar and asked how do I order food. The gentleman who help was kind, but looked at me and said it would take 45 minutes to get my food should I order something.
Well I wanted to have some fish and chips before I left so I ordered. It took 30 minutes!. I would not have gone here had I read the review first. Staff will walk by and ignore you when you try to get attention and extremely slow service and product selling is not very good after the long wait.

This was a great place to dart in and sit down for a break and a cold drink and free WiFi. I was able to google map the next place on my journey. I decided to look at the dinner menu and saw a vegan burger that I had at Devonshire Arms a couple weeks ago. I decided to stay for dinner and order it again. It was not as good. Dry and a little crisp on the edges;

I spent over 40 minutes waiting for my food. I ordered the fish and chips goujons, the chicken tikka, and a grilled chicken sandwich. The goujons were two pieces of ok tasting fish. The chicken tikka is probably the worst I've ever had, lacked flavor and was incredibly dry. The chicken sandwich was perhaps also disappointing as it was terribly over cooked, had hardly any cheese, and also had no flavor.
Seriously it tasted like they tossed a frozen piece of chicken on a pan and just let it sit there for an hour and then tossed it on a bun. I paid 30 for a meal that arguably worse than something I could've bought at McDonald's for far less. Don't come here unless you've got plenty of time and money to waste. Actually, even if you do have time and money to waste, you should probably waste them somewhere else.

With a pub on practically every corner, I liked this one for plenty of outdoor seating. Sadly, they closed outdoor seating at 1700 hrs (subtracting a star), and I moved inside with the beer that the helpful barkeep recommended, adding a star. I decided to order a wild mushroom pudding. Orders are placed at the bar: "What was my table number?" I found a table (no number), left my beer to hold it for me while returning to the bar, pointing to the table, and paying for the order, which arrived incorrectly as steak and mushroom pie. Exhausted, but happy no one grabbed my beer, I just kept it.

There are many pubs in this area. Many side-by-side and all with similar menus -- after all - it's pub food. I have been to almost all and the Greene King is far and away the worst. Both in offering of food and by it's absolutely abysmal service The portions are fair sized -- but the food is frequently cold and the fish greasy and flavorless.
And certainly don't ask the staff for something extra! I asked for a bit more Tartar sauce and it became a massive policy debate among the staff and I was ultimately told "no" -I couldn't have extra. So extremely marginal food and a lousy attitude like that leads to my unequivocal "do not go" recommendation

TOURIST TRAP! Dont go, this is a chain and it's all a sham. Go to a real pub like The Victoria, The Dove, etc. Find a cute historical pub! The food is over priced, the servers are rude, and it's over crowded. The process is confusing at first and the servers look at you like your dumb if you dont know. You find your own table, check your table number, order at the bar, and then go back to your table. (Typical pub method but confusing if you're not from around) Food: Our meals weren't even complete.
We were missing shrimp, sauces, peas, etc. The quality of the food was good but it didnt make up for the environment. Bathrooms: the restrooms were a mess! Toilet paper everywhere on the floor, some didnt properly lock, and it smelt so strong. Dissapointed :(

As a tourist, one of the things on the London check list was to go to a pub. This was our second pub of our visit, and while it definitely had that "pub feel" there was also something that seemed manufactured about it. It felt like going to New York City for pizza, and ending up a Sbarro (a pizza chain, for my non-American friend's). Sbarro is fine, the Greene King bar we went to was fine, but after going to authentic London pub, we could tell this wasn't the same.
Too many cookie cutter ads and the menu looked very generic. I will say the fish and chips (the fish particularly) were very good and I liked the vast selection of wines. So if a Greene King bar is close by, and you're tired and hungry, by all means this is not a bad stop. But if you're looking for a more authentic London pub, look a little closer.

When in London, you have to have at least one meal at a pub. For us, one meal was enough. This pub had an unusual setup, it looks like a regular restaurant but you go to the bar to place your order and they deliver it to your table. We had: - Fish and Chips - good - Steak and Wine Pie - tasty - Hamburger - basic - Cheese Steak - my daughter was expecting Philly and got chopped beef on toast with onions.
She was less than thrilled. This was a nice dining experience, but we are not pub eaters. FYI - there are several pubs around London owned by Greene King with different names. The menus are identical.

This is a decent bar. Every time I come to the UK, I always have to get a Sunday Roast. I know this is in the touristy area, my fault for not looking something up earlier to suit what I was looking for. The wait was not long and everyone was very friendly, but don't be looking forward to an authentic meal. I'd call this the "Olive Garden" or "O'Charley's" of Sunday Roasts. Big portions, but sup bar food. Great staff however, and somewhat convenient if you are in the tourist area wanting semi local food.

Visited this British Pub whilst in London with family. Great place with good selection of typical food expected. Prices were good and soccer fans watched games. It was lively. We had a few pints and food. Twice we went in the 4 days we were there. It as near our flat. A pretty great hangout and fun spot.

The place feels tacky and dirty, I hate the carpet in the room. They told us to take a seat, look at the menu and decide what we want to eat and drink then go downstairs to order and pick up our drinks, what happened to the service of this place? I ordered the wagyun burger. What the hell kind of meat did I get for that high price. Frozen meat and the food was cold. No thank you

We came across Greene King during a very long walk around the city. We were tired & could use some food fuel. The pub was very cozy & clearly popular with locals. I ordered fish & chips & my husband had a burger. The food was good. We had a nice break & continued our walking journey with full tummies & well rested.

No doubt many folks would recommend other places, but for 2 hungry tourists over the Christmas Holiday who wanted fish and chips/lunch, you can't beat this place. Right off of Trafalgar Square it's closely to attractions. I had the Ultimate Fish and Chips (my wife had Festive Pie, which was really good) and was not disappointed. Hefty portions for the price. Sticky Toffee Pudding with Custard was also quite good. Watched come football on the screens while waiting and eating, and it was a British experience we were hoping for.

Simple, straightforward and to the point. A great little gem of a pub with a nice beer selection, full bar and friendly patrons. As comfortable as putting on your favorite pair of slip-ons on a lazy Sunday morning. Quick and attentive service. A sweet spot in the crowded London pub scene. Give it a try- you might just be a little happier for the experience! Cheers!

Came here on a random Saturday night after strolling on Regent St. They have 5 pound beer and mulled wine, which aren't bad prices. The place was hopping on Saturday, but at 8 pm they said their kitchen was closed (boooo). They have some lunch deals posted, but we were too late to avail ourselves of them. Good place to spend some time in SoHo off of Carnaby St.
