Great service great breakfast! My stay at the Beech House Hotel was nothing shy of superb, beds are comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Yes the hotel is a little outdated but that's doesn't come close to the service you receive. Night porter Carlos is a very welcoming gentleman extremely polite and most helpful. After meeting him for the second time in the morning my mind was set on the conclusion that Carlos is one of the niceties people on the planet and I wish him a great life and good fortune. Thank you Carlos for your hospitality.

Really nice little place, great service and great breakfasts. The landlady is a bit of a dragon to the staff though, can be quite uncomfortable to watch at breakfast time. Some reviews on here have mentioned a small room, our room was huge and very comfortable, so I guess you just need to make sure you all for a larger room

I late, after some car trouble, but the Manager waited for me, and welcomed me in just before midnight. He is professional, friendly and polite, and runs a beautifully appointed establishment. My room was one of the least expensive, but was roomy and clean, with en-suite and large shower. The regency style decor was tasteful and perfectly suited a. former Victorian residence.
The deep pile cream coloured carpet in my room was a brave choice, but was absolutely spotless. Pay the extra for breakfast - it's well with it! Roomy private parking so close to the town centre is a welcome rarity. You can bring a nice car here and not worry about it. I won't be staying anywhere else when I come to Reading.
