Lovely location chosen to celebrate a "milestone birthday".river front location requested by recipient. Gardens laid out with glass "pods" which were perfect to create a personal space but still enjoy surroundings. Great location and service but parking an issue as its a small village with narrow streets.

Lovely place, nice staff. Room was good size but very dark and incredibly hot, had noisy but ineffective fan rattling all night. Bathroom was nice, good shower.

A 45 minute drive from Oxford. Tucked away along the river. A lovely experience and fantastic to find a hotel that had dog friendly rooms as local walks were great for our little pup.

Went for lunch, it was not a good experience. The staff were abrupt, our table was dirty and their was food and cutlery under the table and the glasses were grim. Staff unattentive, saving grace was the food was good.

Lovely smart clean rooms and a restaurant overlooking the river. Somewhat characterless however - the "pub" is a few sofas and coffee tables at one end of an open plan restaurant - visit in summer when you'll want to be out in the garden. The tech in the rooms needs a rethink as we had a 55" TV in a snug / film room that can't be used to do anything other than watch terrestrial TV - fixed mounting on the wall so you can't even slip a chromecast on and the smart features are captive Samsung screen mirroring Apps so useless with iOS.

A usb turntable placed photogenically in the corner of the same room with no power supply only highlights the lack of attention to detail (as if we all have a box of vinyl in the car ready for that day we find a turntable in the hotel room). The Bull is a better experience in winter.

Went to a wedding here yesterday, beautiful venue, very high end feel right down to the fantastic cheese buffet at the end of the night. Superb bar staff.

Great hotel and lovely service in that department. Coppa Club: The young staff perpetually appear like they don't really want to be there (so the service charge feels a bitter pill to swallow!) but the food is pretty good.

Compared to our previous stay, many years ago, this visit was excellent. Booked via Bookings, the hotel's response to questions where spot on. The room we had (85) in the clock tower was excellent. Excellent shower, big TV, comfortable bed. Little things all add to the experience. The fridge with proper milk and biscuits. Extremely quiet at night. Due to this, we may stay again, next time we are at The Sonning Mill Theatre.
