Average value hotel. I would no recommend booking any food/breakfast at this hotel. Walk into the town 8 mins away and try Pinto Lounge. Hotel staff are friendly and try to make the best of some poor management and facilities

So. Stayed for 2 nights. We were put in a room upstairs, across a hall, downstairs, across a hall, downstairs, around a corner, down stairs, across a hall, down stairs and through 5 doors. Once we had reached our destination the rooms were actually ok. The WiFi didn't work well (probably due to being in Birmingham at this point) but nice enough. The shower was powerful and hot, even if it was only chest height. Overall if you need to stay in Banbury centre, this would be a nice option. Bring walking shoes for travel to and from the rooms and increase your mobile data. Done.

Good hotel to stay in if visiting Banbury. The rooms are pleasant and it's a quiet part of Banbury. The breakfast was good, but as I have a nut allergy some things were off limits, as there was no information on the contents. Overall a nice stay though.

Staff friendly and helpful. However room was not great, noise fron traffic kept us up all night, windows not double glazed. Room needs up dating.

Stayed for a single night when visiting family in Banbury. The hotel is overall very good. Reception and bar area are clean and modern, the staff on arrival very polite and helpful. Our room was spacious and very clean with a good sized bathroom. The room decor is a little dated but it was very clean, tidy and well maintained. The bed was a double but a king-size would have fitted no problem. The stairs to our room involved a few flights of stairs, up and down, up again, down again etc. A positive 4 out of 5 stars and for the price, our stay was very enjoyable.

All the staff were attentive and polite. Our room on arrival was not quite suitable due to my wife being unable to negotiate the bath tub. The receptionist changed the room without hesitation. Our room was clean and tidy bath towels were perfect breakfast was top quality and the one bar meal we had in our three night stay was very good. All in all one of the best mini breaks we have had anywhere in England. Highly recommended

Nice hotel positioned close to town and its attractions. Some have mentioned it being a bit of a rabbit Warren, however, I think it adds to its charm, and I'd rather it was like this than a concrete and glass edifice with straight corridors.

When you walk in to entrance at the back of the hotel, the reception is lovely. It hosts an assortment of chairs, sofas and table with a small bar. Quite nicely decorated and clean. We had 2 rooms on the first floor, the rooms were tired but clean. Nice white bed linen, but beds really small doubles, bit of a squeeze for two people. Quite old fashioned furniture in the rooms but again all highly polished.

The bathroom again was clean but dated, could do with a walkin shower for the less able of us. The handle to help you in and out of the back I found was in the wrong place and was rusty. Although the shower curtain was clean, I found a little old fashioned. All in all a pleasant stay with friendly staff.

Lovely staff, room was a bit tired looking. Bathroom was fresh and new and clean but the toilet didn't flush. Breakfast room efficient but outside paint peeling and needing attention

Lovely hotel and staff. Well placed, free car park. Such a shame that covid had to spoil our stay as we couldn't have a full English breakfast. The substitute take away continental was a good enough replacement. Would definitely recommend staying here

Stayed here for a two day business trip and I would say it was ok. The interior is quite old but clean and charming. Weak W-Lan on the rooms. The breakfast however was really good as it is in many places in the UK. You can choose various version of eggs(scrambled etc.) which were freshly made for you. Several juices, cheeses, marmelades etc. as well. I would choose this hotel again on my next trip to Banbury if I would have to.

I recently stayed two nights in the Banbury House Hotel and must say was massively underwhelmed. The Hotel looks rather grand from the outside but is tired and shabby on the inside. The staff are for the most part disinterested and certainly do not go out of their way to ensure your stay is a pleasant one. On one occasion I stood at the reception counter for close to 5 minutes while 3 staff members fussed over something on the computer screen.

I would not have minded so much had they not noticed me, but they did and chose to continue prattling among themselves. The one exception one was a receptionist (ex BA) who was on duty the second day. She was marvellous and could not have been more helpful. So, tired looking hotel with tired looking staff serving tired looking food. All of this I can live with if I have to, but jacking up the prices from 48 to 125 per room per night just because the Grand Prix was on in Silverstone is unforgivable. And what's even worse I was fool enough to pay it! Top Tip: Avoid during Silverstone Grand Prix

Part of the Best Western chain, this hotel is a little pricey for ust a place to lay your head. However, if you are based in Banbury, their function rooms are very affordable and they do a very good Christmas party. Parking is on Lucky Lane, so make sure you've practised your hill starts
