Services
In the early part of 2017 a major refurbishment was completed - both internal and external. We have 5 brand new 4 poster beds and bathrooms with walk-in showers. Our 2nd floor large rooms and bathrooms have had a complete refurbishment. Our ground floor features 9 chalet en- suite rooms at the rear of the hotel, which are for single or double occupancy and we also have one family room.
All of our rooms are decorated to a standard much higher than you would normaly expect for a small local hotel. Each room has decor and furniture matched to its size, giving a warm ambience and undeniable quality. As we worked through the hotel we found out what a truly amazing building The Lismore Hotel is!.
There is a great choice of food on our menus and all dishes are cooked on-site using the best local ingredients. We have a large steak menu, including rump, sirloin, fillet and T-Bone steaks, from 8oz up to 34oz. Grills include duck breast, rack of lamb and a mixed grill.
Bookings can be made online via our online booking page. Alternatively, you can write, phone, fax, or e-mail us. All our contact details are on the contact us page. Please note that credit cards not swiped through our machine will be charged at an extra 7.5%. This is to cover the extra charge made by the card company to the Lismore Hotel.

Been staying here for a few weeks now with work. staff are great, rooms are decent for the price, beds are comfy, nice selection of drinks and the biscuits are the best bit! Would recommend

Well pretty grim we had verbally got permissions to have our little dog (a cockerpoo) but arrived and told no dogs and would have been refused entry if not my wife just putting the key in the door and just going in. There obviously been nobody sharing our booking information poor customer service all round.

Terrible experience the room had dirt and mould around the windows, radiators looked disgusting and rusty the bed was very uncomfortable and the room was tiny. Had to check out early due to the hygiene standard it made me feel sick. Tried to get a refund for the extra days I was meant to stay but the owner refuses which says a lot about how much they care about there customers.

The staff member or manager who greeted us was very polite and friendly and that's when you went wrong tv did not work no Wi-Fi room very dated and the shower was very load sounded more like a road sweeper beds are not that comfortable website say they have a bar but they have no license so had to go into town for a beer and food don't think I will be staying again unless work is done on the hotel to bring it up to date as very dated

It is very dated, nothing really matched, we had to be moved as our heating didn't work, but, it seemed to much trouble from the owner as when we got moved the heating wasn't working also, so he bled it and it was ok, but it did seem too much trouble tbh.

The rooms was very spacious and comfy, great WiFi and bathroom and I had a fridge in the room also, bed was comfortable and a lady cleaned my room every day. TV and kettle were also great. Staff are friendly and charming and they keep a good watch over the hotel, definitely recommend this hotel great value for money.

This establishment should be shut down, the rooms are tiny and the smell of damp hits you as you walk in, wallpaper is tired and peeling of with mold underneath, stains everywhere, dangerous electrical fittings, light fittings full of bugs, fire extinguisher properties up on a brick and am axle stand, shamefull it really is especially when charging 73 a night.

Friendly welcome, hotel has lots of character and a faded grandure. Good value for money for an overnight stop.

I'm pleased to say, I have had the pleasure to stay at the Lismore hotel in January 2020. The proprietor and staff were cheerful, welcoming and helpful. My room was warm and cleaned daily to a good standard, with fresh towels and sheets. Highly recommended for a good night's sleep or indeed a comfortable short or long-term stay. The Lismore is a lovely red brick Victorian hotel, ideally located in Banbury, a short 10 minutes walk into the town centre. Ample parking at the rear and close to good transport links, a 10 minute drive to the M40 and 15 minute drive into the Cotswolds. Oxford is approximately half an hour away by road. All in all, brilliant.
