It was just okay because the hotel was tired and grubby, in our room the shower was not clean the safe did not work room in general needs upgraded and properly cleaned, staff were not helpful because they were so busy, Steam room was cold and again not fresh, went to bar for a drink before dinner and I am still waiting on it, table was covered in dust on top and underneath.
Dinner was good but waitress kept touching my husband ( Scottish Lady ) not acceptable, then when we were having cheese & biscuits, both waitresses started spraying cleaning solution all over tables next to us and was landing on our skin and food.

Room was on booking.com for 250. But as we had the dog the cost was 370. So over 100 for dog to stay! I was expecting something special but it was quite dated and basic in comparison to other hotels in the area. Dark rosewood style furniture and small bathroom. Nothing luxurious. Staff lovely. Views over lake lovely. Full English breakfast was just OK.

Nice hotel good location but dated. We had a beautiful room, quite large and a spa day. The massage therapist were very poor. I wouldn't recommend any of the treatments as the therapists are not skilled and appear to be disinterested. The restaurant was really good with great staff and good quality meals.

The staff were really helpful and friendly and made our stay special. The food was AMAZING. Evening meal was fantastic and the choice for breakfast with that beautiful view was breathtaking. The spa was excellent, best facial I've ever had. It was an important trip and it did not disappoint. We all can't wait to return. Thanks so much to all the staff. Particularly the Scottish lady in the evening dining hall. Could not do enough for us. You've no idea how special you made our trip. We felt like royalty.

The location is decent and the staff are mostly friendly but I'm unsure how this hotel has such high reviews. The hotel itself is tired, basic, it has a poor standard of food and massively over priced. The room we stayed in wasn't the cleanest, the bed was terrible, the bathroom hadn't had anything done to it since the 80's and it was in a noisy location. Sorry to say we won't be staying again.

Great location overlooking the lake. Customer service was great from the people we met on reception and in the restaurant. They were very helpful when we arrived after al long drive from London. We all enjoyed spending time in sauna/steam room and well equipped gym. Hotel could do with an upgrade to decorations, however our room comfortable. After we left, I thought I dropped my Apple Airbuds in car park, rang hotel, receptionist was very nice, she send someone straight away to car park to look for my Airbuds, what a service. It turns out my Airbuds were in my car! I rang back hotel and apologised. We will stay there again, however, we may eat out as we like choice of food.
