Lovely hotel close to Harrogate centre Just come home from 2 nights at the family run Ascot house hotel. Lovely loft room, very large bed, nice bedding, everything spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good with nice choice of hot and cold. 10 minutes walk to shops, bars and restaurants. Staff were very friendly. Free WiFi and parking. Lovely stay in Harrogate We really enjoyed our stay at Ascot House.

We welcome you to check in from 3pm (If you arrive prior to 3pm you are welcome to park your car, subject to availability, please just let us know at reception). We politely ask you to vacate your room by 11am. Over the years cars have grown in size, unfortunately our car park has not! Although small, it is free to park your car.
Our largest and most luxurious bedroom occupying prominent position at the front of the hotel. Large windows and comfortable seating within the Turret provide the ideal haven to relax and unwind and watch passers-by on the street below. The room has been furnished with a king-size sleigh bed and feature coronet, LCD SMART TV and high quality furniture.
Peaceful and comfortable loft rooms features a modern ensuite bathroom and wall mounted, walnut framed SMART TV's allowing you to access the internet and iPlayer at the touch of a button. Please note that the ceiling in the bathroom slopes over the bath (room may not be suitable for 6ft+ guests!) One of the loft rooms is spacious enough to accommodate 4 persons (please enquire direct at the time of booking).

Perfect base for exploring the area, easy to reach from train station & allows dogs by arrangement. Room comfortable, but if like me you enjoy open windows then road noise is noticeable in Room 26, also note when windows open you get the cooking smells. Great friendly staff & nothing is too much trouble. I'd will definitely stay here again.

Marked down 1 star solely for the fact we could not get an evening meal due to covid making staffing in hospitality difficult during this time. But as was pointed out to us there are about 200 eateries with in a mile or so. The breakfast was good the sausages are tasty. They Cater for Gluten Free needs, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Well situated there is a bus stop right out side the premises, there is ample parking in and around the hotel.

Lovely hotel, lovely staff. nothing was ever too much and they provided a home from home, we booked for next year already. Our only negative was that there was only one key for each room, which meant we had to coordinate our plans slightly, which was an inconvenience, otherwise it would have been 5 stars
