Lovely one night stay and one of the best breakfasts I've ever had in a 'small hotel'. Superb location too, I would highly recommend.

3rd time been here. Always a friendly welcome. Family run business. Rooms lovely & big, start the day with cooked breakfast by Adam. Close to Harrogate conference centre, and 5 to 10 minutes walk into Harrogate centre.

Ditto previous reviews. The building radiates twinkly charm on a wintry evening, situated on a leafy street close to the convention centre and just a few minutes walk from town. Adam and family have nailed that home-from-home feeling, with a cosy bedroom and bathroom that want for nothing. It's everything a guesthouse should be.

Beautiful building in a very pleasant road a few minutes stroll from the shops and restaurants of Harrogate. Our room was at the top of the house. It was very spacious, clean and well equipped. The bathroom was large but the shower was very small. The bed was of good quality and large. Breakfast was a good English one but without beans. The friendly welcome was slightly spoilt by the request that masks be worn in public areas. This is dehumanising and offers no protection. I did not comply.

This was our first visit to the Alexandra, it is on a quite street and a very easy short walk to the town centre shops, bars and restaurants. We received a warm welcome, the room had all that we wanted for our stay including a great shower, storage space, fridge, TV and good WiFi. The family run business we're helpful, engaging and provided us with a great stay.

They provide a great breakfast and the family's mother, who waited on in the breakfast room was a pleasure to meet. There is free car parking and it is a short distance from the train station. We have visited Harrogate a number of times and will return to this Guest house and recommend a stay there.

Staying at Alexandra Court was an AMAZING experience! The hotel is located on a lovely quiet street within walking distance to downtown Harrogate. Adam and his family were excellent hosts! My family and I had to stay here for an extended period of time due to relocation and I would definitely recommend this property for both leisure and business travel. Great proximity to Menwith Hill for those who may be working at the base.

Quaint little hotel. Owner and daughter were very kind and friendly. Breakfasts were very filling, and expedient. The hotel was in a very nice little neighborhood, so everything looked quite pretty. That being said, I had a few major gripes with the hotel. First, the beds were pretty uncomfortable. Mine seemed to have two metal poles running through it that you could easily feel through the mattress.

On a bed barely larger than a twin, it made it hard to get comfortable. Second, when I first arrived, the toilet was filled with dissolved fecal waste that coated and stained the toilet interior, making the whole bathroom unbearable to smell. This was resolved the second night, but I couldn't bring myself to use the bathroom that whole first night. Third, the drainage in the showers was woefully inadequate for the flow.

The flow was quite high (and extremely nice as a result, far better than other hotels), but the water built up in the basin so quickly it was going to overflow in less than 5 minutes. So shower time was quite limited. Overall, if you're paying for a hotel out of pocket, this is a decent deal to get a "feel of Britain", but if it's out of corporate pocket, go elsewhere.
