Angel Hotel

Nice looking hotel but the service is a joke. I went in, stood at the bar for ages trying to order a drink, got ignored and sat down. Even though I was sitting right opposite the bar and I tried to catch the eyes of the passing waiters, none of thm asked what I wanted. So 30 minutes later I left.

Went here for Christmas Lunch and there would have been about 30+. All plates and food served was piping hot (except the Mince Pies). Thoroughly enjoyed by all in my family.

Good well equipped rooms but make sure to request one in the "New" building above the pool. Plenty of free parking and if you don't fancy the restaurant for dinner the town is literally outside the front door where there are the usual selection of Curry Houses and take away's etc.

Stopped overnight during our Bath - Oxford tour. Lovely clean and comfy rooms, nice size twin/double. We had a (pre-ordered) 3 course meal that was very good, food was excellent and served attentively. Decent bar finished the evening well, to the satisfaction of all our party. Breakfast was self served but plenty to enjoy, the normal cereals and full English. Overall, we would definitely use again, and fully recommend it.

We had a lovely two day break over November and really enjoyed it with a lovely stay. Good was very good, well presented and presented. The room is very spacious with a king size bed, rainhead shower and good facilities in the room. We would say that some more drawers would have been nice instead of storing in the wardrobe. There is a hairdryer, iron, ironing board, kettle and large TV.

The surroundings of the hotel was really nice with some outdoor space. There is an indoor swimming pool as well if your fancy a dip or to stay healthy. All in all, a very nice stay. Hotel is slap bang in the shopping district and you have lots of shops and two shopping arcades.

Lovely hotel. The staff were very helpful. We had a lovely lunch in the restaurant which really made my Dad's 70th birthday special. Gym and swimming pool facilities. Will definitely visit again.

Hotel is very reasonable and for the price it is great. Swimming pool, really nice feel and setup with a patio garden in the middle of the two main buildings, bar and restaurant are lovely. Front of hotel is straight on to the high street which is perfect. Access to hotel is via the rear which is convenient with great parking Room is fairly basic and the walk in shower room, although very practical for someone with a disability, is strange for those who do not (not sure if all the rooms are like this mind).

Great place to while away a couple of hours limited menu, but what we had was great value for money. Warm and clean environment. The three staff on duty that day couldn't have been more polite, attentive and friendly.

Our accommodation was very nice, we asked for a fan as the room was very hot, they did not have any but the receptionist sent the maintenance man out to purchase one. The hotel was experiencing staffing issues and people were doing other jobs as well as or instead of the or own. Despite this everyone we encountered was friendly and very helpful. We really liked the hotel and would definitely recommend it to others. We intend to return early next year.
