01/06/2022 was our wedding day at Stanton Manor and it was the most incredible day I could ever have wished for! The staff went above and beyond at all times to make our day special and memorable, to cutting up our little boys breakfast in the morning, moving all the chairs and flowers around when the heavens opened, getting ramps out for our dads mobility scooter and so many other kind and thoughtful moments!

We couldn't have asked for a better team to be running our day. Our wedding breakfast was stunning, all cooked perfectly, all the guests loved it! I would highly recommend Stanton as a wedding venue to any of our family and friends, we were so well cared for :

We recently stayed to celebrate our wedding anniversary. All the staff were the epitome of helpfulness and friendliness. The meals were delicious. The bed was very comfortable. The room itself was fine but maybe could have benefitted from a refresh decoratively but was absolutely clean. Thank you to all who made our stay so enjoyable. We especially appreciated being able to take our dog.

We stayed overnight here after our friend's wedding. The ceremony outside and grounds were lovely (could have maybe done with a microphone for it though as we couldn't hear anything) and we had a beautiful day celebrating. Canapes were quickly brought out and drinks were always served as quickly as possible at the bar considering how busy it was. The marquee set up was great too, the tomato soup and crumble went down well, I feel maybe the service could have been slightly more attentive as we missed out on bread rolls with our soup and our mains were a lot later than any other table.well 2/3rds of our table was anyway.

The room itself was slightly dated in decor but nonetheless was really clean, soft towels and the shower powerful, with nice views of the grounds. Breakfast service was very attentive, as someone who can't normally stomach cooked breakfast can I suggest having a few extra options like some pasties or something alongside the toast offered. The staff were all really friendly and helpful.

Came to see for a friend's wedding. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and it would be amazing. We had lunch while we was there. The service was very slow considering there was only about 6 people eating in the restaurant. The sandwich we had was very yummy and large portions so you could definitely share. It is expensive for what it is. But lovely grounds.

I can only comment on the room we were given. Dark due to trees. Not enough lighting. View of bins only with added bonus of bottled being binned at midnight, then deliveries at 5.30 in the morning. A shame as generally the place was brilliant. Don't accept room 14.

We booked afternoon tea for five as a treat for my sisters and daughter.on arrival we had a very warm welcome from a lovely young lady. The drinks we received were amazing and the sandwiches were delicious.only complaint was that the cake selection was very limited and the clotted cream was very lumpy and tasted very peculiar. If the range of cakes would have been more choice we would definitely have booked for a return visit.

Lovely hotel, very comfortable bedroom, bathroom very clean. Our evening meal was delicious, as was breakfast. Kerry who was serving breakfast, stocking up the buffet and checking people out worked extremely hard with a smile on her face for everyone. Shame the owners didn't give her more help!

Lovely country hotel, with a good range of room types. I had a garden room which was well proportioned with access straight out to the garden, perfect when you have a dog. The room I had could have been made to feel more cosy/homely but it was well appointed. Some parts of the Hotel look a little tired but I understand there's upgrades underway. As with most hospitality at the moment there didn't seem to be enough staff for the event I was attending at the hotel.

There was a bit of a wait at the bar but you could see that all the staff were doing their absolute best and that's all you can ask from them. Staff were pleasant and polite at all times.

Quite run down. This hotel has the ability to be amazing if time and effort was put in to upgrading and renovation. While friendly, staff seemed inexperienced and not enough around. Location was perfect

We have driven 7 hours non-stop from Essex under heavy traffic. The only thing we wanted is to have some rest before dinner but no way. We woke up many times with dog barking at bar and reception area. Also you sitting in the bar and some irresponsible customers next to you with their dogs heavily smelling probably because of walking all day under the rain and not washed by the owner. Disgusting.

The room we have stayed was number 5, one of the window does not close. We called the staff, they said there is nothing they can do. We slept with motorway noise and draught coming all the night through the window. Again the room we have stayed was very dusty, the carpet were dirty and there were dog hair at the floor corners.

Just stayed for a night away. Very nice room, looked like it had not long been decorated. Great to walk into a warm room. The heating was on prior to us occupying. Ace location and with lovely views. Staff were friendly and great fun.

A well kept and clean country hotel part of the Sleeping Bear Group. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Offering something different and great value near the M4 junction 17. Dining times were limited although the food was good, be careful to not be caught out.

Beautiful building! Staff were lovely, room was amazing and cosy. The heating was great and scenes were beautiful. However check in was late in the afternoon (2:30pm, and couldn't check in until 2:50pm as room wasn't ready.) they don't offer hand soap or any soaps to wash with, they only offer large white company bottles which you have to pay 15 for each bottle to use. Other than that, highly recommend staying here and great for group bookings or weddings.

I had my wedding here on June 4th and had an absolutely amazing day! Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and all our guests commented on how polite they all were. So thanks to the staff at Stanton Manor for making it an amazing day all round

Really lovely old Stonehouse with beautiful grounds and some really nice touches inside. There are a few bits that could do with some tlc but I think they are gradually sorting these things. Staff were really friendly, helpful and polite. I had room no.1 which was very spacious huge comfy bed and lovely bathroom with a view from the big old tub. I got here late after a long busy day and it was a short stay but a very nice 1.

Little touches like a hints tips and history of the house inside all thoughtfully provided in a folder inside the room. I think this would be a good base for a nice stay cation. Only had breakfast which was nice but I'd like to go back and try the evening meals and explore around abit more.

I've stayed here plenty of times in the past but it seems to have let itself go a little. We stayed in room 10. There was holes in the walls that had been filled but not painted, outdated furniture that doesn't seem to be fixed to the wall and a shower you can barely fit in. The room just seemed a little grimy and run down. The bar didn't have the spark it used to.

Again it felt a little tired. Something as simple as a lamp shade that's so dirty the light doesn't shine through it. The staff were very polite and helpful when they could be but they seemed a bit stretched between the bar, restaurant and reception. I did address my disappointment when checking out. No discount was offered on the bar. The receptionist did say they are trying to bring the hotel back up to spec. The building is really nice and the food is good. Hopefully they can turn it back around.

I was a guest at a wedding on 3rd Sept. I found the whole experience well run, professional yet personal. Fabulous venue and staff team. The room was excellent. Clean and fully equipped for our stay. A special mention to the 2 girls left to run the bar at last orders. Also 10 out of ten the young lady left to finish everything. She was amazing. I really think she should have been supported but she did an amazing job. Pay rise required. Well done all

Nice hotel very friendly staff. We only stayed 1 night, it was comfortable. Just got woken early by a fire alarm, guessing someone burnt the toast. Had dinner in the restaurant in the evening. Delicious food, we had a sharing platter to start, fish and chips, then lemon possit. Mains are reasonably priced. But starter was way over priced and we felt a little disappointed by this. The dessert was very small but reasonably priced. We would stay again yes and we would eat in the restaurant again but not have the sharing platter.
