We have just installed a Stannah stair lift for the benefit of guests who have a little difficulty with stairs. This new addition means that you can now enter at street level, book a single, double or superior double room on the ground floor and use the stair lift to reach the dining room for breakfast. In the evening you can use it to reach the bar for a social drink with fellow guests.Your entire stay without having to encounter a single step. If the stair lift will be useful for you please let us know when booking so that we can ensure we find you a room on the ground floor.

They decided it was time for a change. What a big decision that was. Having given up two normal jobs and taken the plunge, we absolutely love it. What a great result. It is now our business to make sure you get as much out of your stay in Torquay and the beautiful English Riviera as we have. Our standard double rooms are ideal for couples or singles wanting a bit more space. They contain one standard double bed and have plenty of room for two and are an idea base to return to after a busy day sightseeing. All standard double rooms are en-suite and have a hair dryer, 19 flat screen TV, free wifi, USB charging points, personal safe and tea tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Our superior rooms are superb, they are big spacious rooms with two comfortable chairs to relax on.
Our location is one of our best features. We have the international Conference & Leisure Centre just over the road and right beside that is Torre Abbey with its 800 year history. A stroll through the Abbey will take you to Princess gardens and on to the sea front and the main beach, from there it's about a 10 minute walk to the harbour and town centre.
The Glendower is ideally situated for delegates and those attending the Riviera Conference Centre which is less than 300m away. We are one of the closest B&B's to the Conference Centre in Torquay. We provide (free of charge) high speed WIFI internet throughout the building so staying in touch is not a problem.

Lovely B&B in easy reach of the seafront. The breakfasts are spectacular with different options each day. Trying the full English is a must. Our room was large and airy and well kept. Highly recommended. We have just stayed at the Glendower for a second time. The owners have clearly continued to invest in the fabric of the property, improving the parking area and the decor. The catering is still of the same high standard. We will be visiting again and I look forward to another great holiday.

Had such a wonderful stay at this cute bed and breakfast. The owners were such a wonderful couple and beyond accommodating. They had all the little extras in the room we stayed in. Room was spacious and comfortable. Comfortable beds and clean B&B. Oh and a full breakfast menu served hot and fresh. Will def recommend this place to stay as it was in a great location. Thank you Glendower for a lovely weekend.

Family owned B&B hotel in Torquay.10min walk to the sea.20mins to the town centre.lots of other hotels and conveniences local. near bus routes to town, Paignton and Babbacombe. Rooms are nicely presented with some nice feminine touches. The breakfast room with a bar is very pleasant too.the main full breakfast is excellent with other nice choices along with plenty of starters.most probably one of the best breakfasts ive had and I've stayed in many many hotels in the UK and Europe.
The owners are extremely helpful and theres lots of info at hand. Ive given it 4* which is tops for me.ive never given 5* due to the facilities. it's a B&B not a full hotel with dinner and the facilities of a large hotel. But within a 5min walk there is a 4 hotel complex with lots of facilities which the public can take advantage of. JMM

We stayed at the Glendower from August 29th until 1st September 2021 Found our hosts Janette and Ian very welcoming being offered a cup of tea on arrival. Accommodation was spotlessly clean our room comfortable with added facilities along side of the different tea's and Coffee, Breakfast was amazing with lots of choice, we would definitely recommend staying this hotel and will hopefully be back very soon from Bev and Steve

We had an amazing stay at glendower janette and Ian, we can't thank you enough from start to finish. Spotless accommodation, white fluffy towels, breakfast set up beautifully done and well Ian those breakfasts perfection. Fillet steak for breakfast a first for me but hey we were on holiday. The pancakes you packed us up for our journey well they went down well. But I still can't make them like you Ian. Would love to return to Glendower

We stayed with these very hospitable people Ian and Janette for a week may 2021. The accommodation was spotless and very tastefully decorated, so comfortable, the dining area spacious and when we chose evening meals they were excellent quality and not at all expensive. The breakfasts excellent and such a selection. Nothing at all was too much trouble for them. And it's only a 12min walk from the front. looking forward to visiting Glendower again as soon as we can.
