Brand new for 2019, Oscar's Lounge & Bar features a selection of classic home-cooked favourites and modern European dishes.

Our Superior King and Classic Double rooms feature everything you would expect from a modern country house hotel. Field View Apartment is a self contained apartment sleeping up to 4 guests. Following our Gretna Green wedding we booked a family reception at Badgers Mount. We can't thank the wedding team/bar staff enough. They were so attentive and looked after us from the moment we arrived until the the next day when we checked out. The marquee was perfect, the food amazing and the accommodation absolute bliss (especially the hot tub!). Thank you so much. Mandy & Chris Coates xx

Went here once again last week for a funeral wake. We were accommodated in a lovely room overlooking a flower meadow. The food served was superb and included some lovely savoury treats followed by beautiful homemade cakes and scones. A lovely experience despite the sadness of the occasion. In addition we received a very warm welcome from a nice lady who looked after us so well. Lovely in every way.

I stay at 3-4 hotels a week, this hotel is consistently one of the best, excellent staff and service, the food is also excellent and the rooms are of a good standard and size. The only issue I have had is that the heating seems to be permanently on full so I need to sleep with the windows open. A small issue overall.

Rooms are certainly not worthy of the price we were charged and breakfast was not worthy of the price charged either, would have expected a lot more. I booked this hotel for the event of my 60th birthday party, never again would I choose this venue. I found the owner to be extremely rude and humiliated me in front of the lady that was doing my balloon setup and made it very difficult for her.
Personal service that you state on your website must have disappeared that particular day. Hog roast apparently was nice, although I never actually had any and neither did my husband as it all got whipped away far too quickly. The room itself we had for the event was so cold my guests couldn't even stay in there. The D.J they offered me with my event may as well have been a corpse as there was no effort from him all evening and he certainly had no idea of disco music that I had specifically requested.
He didn't even respond to guests requests. All of my concerns were highlighted on the night yet never had any response back to date from the owner/manager! Again, no personal customer service from him. I even caught them taking my birthday cake away before I had managed to make the first cut and, I wasn't even allowed to put the candle on! Would not recommend unfortunately, I hope anybody else has better experiences than I did, they totally ruined my evening!

A party of. 4 of us booked for my wife's birthday The team.at badgers mount were really attentive and looked after us really well. The food was spot on and the bar staff when asked about the different gins had a perfect knowledge of the flavours. Sharon our waitress was really helpful I cannot praise the team enough Glenn the owner should be proud of what he has achieved
