Ok so on arrival no one answered the door. They were occupied with the football in the pub and no one answered both phone numbers we were given. On first appearance the room seemed OK but after settling in we realised we had made a mistake staying here. Up till about 11pm our room was noisy from the pub also room 6 had a terrible smell of chip fat.

You don't notice it at first but when you lay to sleep it's that bad you can't sleep. Combined with creaking floors and doors banging it's not a good choice if your catching a flight early the next day. That said the location is perfect for Luton Airport and the price is cheaper than anywhere else however personally I'd rather pay for quietness and a fresh smelling room

Cheeky little gem, handy little hidey hole if you're anywhere near North London, St Alban's or Milton Keynes. Perfect little short stop if passing through or like we were attending a concert.

I'd give it more stars if it had a truly accessible bedroom and toilet, and if it served breakfast at breakfast time. But what it does do, within the limits of a historic building, is as good as the staff can possibly make it.

Me and my sister booked a room last minute, we was waiting at reception but got left waiting and had to go into the pub. The manager come and checked us in, he had been drinking whilst working informed us that he lived on site so if we needed anything he could help. He also told us by 8.30 the pub would start becoming empty and we wouldn't hear a thing. we went into the pub for dinner we both got lasagna with garlic bread and salad was absolutely dreadful!

We went into our room on our way in we saw people (man and woman) drinking in the bar walking freely into the free room next door (we knew it was free as we got offered room 9 or 10) to do what ever they was doing then left giggling and slammed the door! We tried to settle ready for bed the bar was extremely loud this was at 9pm we asked the staff to close the door between the pub and hotel which they did but it didn't make a difference!

We ended up falling asleep and was woken up at 3am by loud drunk people on our landing! They was still there by 4.30 thankfully we was able to get back to sleep. then to be woken up at 7am by the fire alarm! We left the building and waited outside 5 mins still no sign of the manager on site so I called 2 numbers off the list outside the reception door!

Finally a lady answered and said she will be as soon as possible 10 minutes later she arrived and was very apologetic and turned the alarm off and said it was probably someone smoking in their room which she still didn't go up stairs to check! Absolutely dreadful place to stay. Definitely not worth the money The service was not what is expected! And to top it off we had diarrhea the next day after our food! Location is nice but that is all I would say was nice about it. And alot of drink drivers leaving this place!

Stayed here end of last year & now we're back. Professional, friendly staff, lovely accommodation & fabulous food. Dog friendly too with amazing field walks as soon as you step off carpark. Can't say enough good things about this place, 5* in my opinion

Nice little pub close but not too close to Luton. Friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. The building is an old coaching inn so has a great history. There's nothing like old beams to give a pub a bit of character. A couple of really good ales served here so well worth a shot if you're in the area.

Location wise The King William is conveniently situated in close proximity of Luton Airport. The staff & the locals were very approachable and friendly, the bar area & restaurant were spacious and cosy. Beers were great, food was too but served on cold plates which rather spoilt the occasion. Our room was extremely small. Two small windows both looked out onto a dismal flat roof.

Bed was comfy and bathroom, although small & awkward, was acceptable. Overall our room was cold and when the heating system finally clicked in, was annoyingly noisy as were the creaking floorboards both inside our room and the adjoining corridors. To be honest, the facilities probably matched the price we paid so no real malicious complaints. For a one night stay would I return, probably yes.

Stayed here the night before an early flight as it was only 10 minutes to the airport. Arrived late afternoon and enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast and delicious pudding. Ground-floor room was perfect for our needs and staff very friendly, reasonable price too.
