Excellent service from David and his staff. Relaxed and cheerful atmosphere, with a warm welcome. Rooms superbly presented and well maintained every day of visit, and kept to a high standard. Clean, airey and spacious. Breakfast was superbly cooked and presented with plenty of choice. Booked for next year.

We couldn't have wished for a better introduction to the Isle of Wight. Lovely stay, location is absolutely perfect to explore all the local attractions and restaurants. David was a wonderful host and our room was very spacious and comfortable. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

First time on the island and we stayed at Keats Cottage for a long weekend as they are one of the few that are dog friendly. David, the owner is an excellent host and made you feel welcome. When we arrived he had organised a dog bed and bowl of water in our room. Odin (our dog) got a sausage for breakfast every morning. Our room, on the top floor was spacious, a big double bed, en-suite, fluffy towels, TV, tea and coffee facilities with an Nespresso coffee machine and biscuits all stocked up daily. The holiday was over too quick and it was sad to leave as it really felt like a home from home. Highly recommend.

Stayed here for a week in July 2021 in the suite and it was beautiful. The rooms were huge and very clean and the breakfast each morning was wonderful. Great value for money and local to Shanklin town centre for shops and restaurants. David the owner was so helpful, anything we needed he was always willing to help to ensure our stay was perfect. Thoroughly recommend staying here for your vacation.

David and his mum were exceptionally good hosts throughout our stay. This morning they even got up to make breakfast at 6.15am. By the time we left we were sad to say bye to them. They are such lovely people. The breakfasts are delicious. You can tell David is a quality chef and the marmalade and jam his mum makes are so good we bought some to take home.

We stayed in shelley room and it was lovely - homemade biscuits replenished daily, comfy bed, nice sofa and big room and bathroom. Last night when we were discussing going home we both said that you couldn't get a better B and B. Thank you to David and his mum for a fantastic week. We really appreciate it.

From the moment we arrived David was incredibly helpful helping with the luggage and guiding us where to park. We stayed in the Wilde suite/apartment with its own private garden. the moment we arrived David got us drinks and we sat in the garden with a beer - a first class welcome thank you! nothing was too much trouble from the beginning of our 7 day stay until the end. Breakfast was excellent. wouldn't hesitate to go back.

After a really long journey arrived to a welcoming host and a free cold beer in the house. The room was large and beautifully appointed with all the facilities you could want. Food was fantastic and as much as you could ever want to eat provided by a cheerful host and his mother. They helped us plan our itinerary and suggested places you go. A fabulous weeks holiday. Would highly recommend visiting Keats cottage.

We were very fortunate to have bagged a late cancellation to stay at this outstanding B&B located in the delightful and picturesque village of Shanklin. We had heard of Keats Cottage through the Chanel 4 programme, 4 in a bed and were thus slightly prepared for our "blind date". From our arrival David our host was impeccable with his helpfulness and service.

He had even arranged our car parking for the duration of our stay and which covered all Island council car parks. Our room was located on the second floor at the front of the building. Each room is named after an English Poet. Our room was tastefully decorated (courtesy of David's mother who still helps out from time to time) and was extremely comfortable. Ample supplies of tea and coffee making ingredients.

Only minor "points deduction" would be that it would be nice to have had a mirror at the dressing table rather than behind the door! David cooks the breakfasts himself and the "Full Keats" earns a high recommendation but two sausages on an already burgeoning plate can be a bit overwhelming - one is more than sufficient. Excellent choices of fruits and cereals. David is very, very chatty and can entertain you with fascinating stories of his extensive experiences in the hotel and catering industries as well as what really goes on in the making of 4 in a Bed. We are now committed fans of Keats Cottage and are eagerly awaiting our chance to return. David is a first class host running a first class value for money B&B. Read less
