Havelock Hotel

Run by a lovely couple who are renovating the rooms on a rolling basis. Breakfast was available and it was great, anything you wanted was no trouble. The dining room staff were great also. There was no mid day or evening meals available but there are several cafes, take aways and pubs a short walk away in the old village. There is an outdoor pool but it wasn't the weather for a swim! Clean, nicely decorated and welcoming.

The Havelock is ideally located in Shanklin. I have stayed there for a long weekend for the last seven years. It is always spotless, great breakfast and staff. Paul and Vicky make you feel welcome and I will definitely be back next October!

Enjoyed 2 nights at the Havelock with family. The location is great as it's walking distance to the beach, restaurants and town centre. Owners are super friendly and welcoming.their two little girls are also so adorable! We had lovely, spacious, clean rooms. Temperature of shower could have been hotter. The Havelock has a pool on site which we made very good use of even though the weather wasn't very warm! Lovely breakfast in the morning which filled us up until dinner. Looking forward to return when the weather is warmer.

My husband and I would like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to Paul, Vicky and all of the Havelock team for making our wedding stay incredible. They were super inviting and accommodating and fully met our needs and expectations throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble and on behalf of all of our wedding party who stayed at the Havelock, we are all truly grateful!

Everybody was incredibly happy with everything! The service at breakfast was fantastic and all members of staff were always pleased to see you! The little touches that were added like the towel swans, dressing up the breakfast table on the wedding morning and morning after were very much appreciated! We are truly grateful and appreciative of everything you have all done for us!

We can't wait to return soon! We have stayed a few times at the Havelock and it's always clean, fresh and welcoming! We stayed in room 8 to begin with (great views!) and then in room 15 (gorgeous 4 poster bed with balcony and view!) If you are looking for a truly gorgeous place to stay with welcoming staff not to mention overlooking the beautiful sea, I 110% recommend the Havelock!

Very good & welcoming. Good breakfast. Nice lounge area & bar. Seating outside. Swimming pool was a good size & depth. Great location.

Well the owners and their team are really helpful and attentive and the breakfast is excellent. Our room was small but well presented and the hotel is a five minute walk from the old town centre where most of the eateries are. Only problem is parking which is less than ideal especially if you have a big car. But don't let that worry you, nothing is perfect.

Warm welcome by the very accommodating owners:Paul& Vicky. We had room nr.4 which has a lovely sea view. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was powerful. Very clean hotel with heated pool, breakfast was of good quality and plentiful. Close to the beach front and Shanklin old village. Would recommend 100%

Spent the weekend at The Havelock with friends and first visit to the island. Hotel is excellent and staff are fantastic. Breakfast was lovely and, set you up for the day. Evening time the lounge and terrace are great for socialising and a great selection of drinks at bar. I stayed in room 2 which was nice and comfortable and clean. The new management in place are great and I wish them all the best going forward and we will definitely be back.
