The Parade Restaurant Wolverhampton Racecourse is owned by Arena Racing Company, the largest racecourse operator in the UK. We are proud that in 1994, HRH Queen Elizabeth II re-opened the new Wolverhampton Racecourse. Britain's first floodlit racecourse, Wolverhampton Racecourse now welcome 120,000 visitors each year across 80 race fixtures, music live events and conferences.

In 2014, a major investment into a new high-performance Tapeta track was completed, a surface that wasn't yet used in Great Britain. After a three month resurfacing period, the racecourse opened for business again with our first meeting on the Tapeta track, receiving excellent reviews from jockeys, trainers, owners and racegoers.

Visited for an outdoor cinema event, there were clean toilets. The staff were brilliant there. Only niggle was we didn't know the place was cash only, and the only atm on site was broken.

As members of a racing syndicate we attended Wolverhampton racecourse on Tuesday 12th April and our experience was totally positive. The staff were both welcoming and efficient while the food provided was excellent. Ease of access to viewing the actual racing only added to our experience. Great night out.

Enjoyed the horse racing spectating side of the day but very disappointed food wise. We checked the menu before visiting as my daughter is celiac and it clearly said on there that gluten free food was available. Unfortunately this was not the case, the hotel did gluten free food but not the racecourse restaurant. We asked to speak to the chef and he said he could get gluten free chips from 'upstairs' and a gluten free bun with meat and gravy.

As anyone who is celiac knows, if they eat anything with gluten in they can be very poorly so my daughter chose to just have the chips but only ate one or two as she was understandably very uneasy and quite upset. Had we have known about this we would have eaten beforehand and as you can appreciate this did put a damper on what should have been a lovely family day out.

I went for a family fun day so I will rate my experience on that. It is incredibly expensive to eat and drink there, especially as a family. I appreciate that it's not going to be cheap but to pay double price for half a portion is really scraping the barrel. Running it over lunch time and tea time when people are not allowed to take in food or drinks is forcing people to pay out a small fortune.

I understand it's a business but I expect a little more for my money. Inside it was an absolute shambles. Staff were not telling people where to order food from or queue. One menu placed on a table in front of where you pay so people were in the queue but couldn't decide what they wanted until they got there and held up queues more. Staff are obviously used to this and so disinterested in their role that they almost seek to hide away.

I heard several people mentioning about the ketchup being empty to the ladies behind the stand and nothing was done until an hour later when it was mentioned to a young lad with dark hair. Also it's good to note that it's a cashless site. I heard a lot of people moaning about that. (You may wonder why I am so focused on this, it's because I spent longer here than anywhere else all day due to the disorganisation of it!).

The funday itself with the activities were really good and kept the children entertained. I'm not sure what was on offer justified the amount of spending we had to do, we could have gone to a theme park and ate there for less but overall it was a lot of fun hence I have given three stars. In summary it was a good day but awful value for money.

First time of visiting. Very relaxed meeting. Racing was good, and lovely to see the horses up close on the parade ground. Only reason it's not got another star was that the beer was not great according to my husband, I don't drink it myself. He left his. However when the ladies came to clear the glasses she enquired why he'd left it, and immediately offered to change it for a Guinness.

So that was really good service to rectify what may have been a unusual bad lot of beer. However I would suggest they check their pipes to make sure it was only a one off. As people who do go racing expect a decent pint to be served. As they are already paying over the odds and are there also for the social aspect as well as the racing. So a decent tasting beer is important

17 just to get in and that gives you access to the grandstand. The grandstand is just rows of concrete. There's no actual seats! Pies aren't the cheapest either.

Great night out at Dunstall Park, amazing views from the Horizon restaurant overlooking the whole racecourse. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the table service was really quick considering it was a Friday night. Food was excellent, in particular the steak with peppercorn sauce & the chocolate truffle brownie! Managed to bag a few winners to top off a fantastic night, will definitely be going back!
