This is what quality country pub food and service should be all about. Just the right amount of creativity to refresh pub standards, some exotic menu flourishes (but nothing outlandish) and simply fantastically executed roasts (best I've had in a decade). Service absolutely impeccable. Atmosphere to match. Great walks around (including Dashwood Estate and Ricer Cherwell and an intriguing quarry.,,

I visited the Dashwood Arms with my family and the food was absolutely fantastic. The Wellington roast was by far the best roast dinner I've had in a long time. My starter was also delicious and beautifully presented. Kudos to the chef's! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will definitely be returning when I'm next in town.

We called there as we were on a narrow boat holiday and needed to eat. After a healthy walk we arrived early and were given a table. What a delight. Superb food, attentive service, great bottle of wine, just a top class evening. An unexpected delight and totally memorable. Thanks to all at the Dashwood John Rouse and family
