The Haytor Hotel Torquay is an elegant and welcoming Victorian villa built in 1835. Our Suites are located on the Ground, First and Second floors and have been created by reconfiguring the original layout in each case combining two rooms into one, resulting in a generous room with seating area.With kingsize beds, Bath robes, seating area, extra large TV/DVDs, minibars and en-suite walk in showers these are our very best rooms furnished and decorated to an exceptionally high standard.

We chose this hotel for a little getaway during our trip from Australia. It was a fantastic, relaxing stay with the accommodation being clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Our host John and Jane were more than accommodating. Nothing was too difficult for them. They greeted us each day with a friendly smile and a cheerful greeting which made our stay that much more enjoyable. Breakfast like everything else in this fine establishment was outstanding. Perfect overnight stay, Jane and John are the most welcoming hosts I have ever met, we arrived slightly early and was offered tea/coffee and cake. Our room was spotless, everything you needed and more and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was made with first class produce and plentiful. Excellent in every way!

I cannot recommend this hotel too highly! From the moment we arrived we were made feel at home, we were offered coffee and the best lemon drizzle cake ever made! The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout and our room was very tatefully decorated and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. John and Jane are excellent hosts and our breakfasts were fabulous with a wide range of choices to suit everyone's tastes. We thoroughly enjoyed our break in Torquay but it was made all the better by our stay in The Haytor and look foreward to returning again in the near future.

Had such a lovely time here at the Haytor Hotel, we were greeted with coffee and delicious homemade cake and given such a warm welcome which continued throughout our stay. John and Jane made our stay a very enjoyable one and we look forward to returning. The hotel is beautiful set in lovely grounds and the rooms are very comfortable and furnished to a high standard.
The breakfast is absolutely gorgeous, cooked to order and plentiful and John and Jane couldn't do enough for you. There is a lovely bar area which we enjoyed in the evenings. The location is great, everything you need in walking distance. We highly recommend this hotel, you won't be disappointed, amazing, friendly hosts.

John and Jane are great hosts, making us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms are decorated to a very high standard. Tasteful modern decor, very stylish, and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was absolutely superb, and nothing was too much trouble. By far one the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. Would highly recommend, and can't wait to return.

John and Jane made us welcome as soon as we stepped though the door of this lovely hotel and the attention we received during our stay was wonderful. John was very attentive serving a lovely breakfast freshly cooked to order by Jane. The room was immaculate and replenished daily. The hotel is 5 mins walk to the harbour and there are plenty of restaurants close. I would highly recommend if you're going to Torquay book this hotel you won't be disappointed.

We were very happy with our room, everything as promised by the brochure. Clean and light with lots of space and storage and thoughtfully decorated. The terrace and brilliantly kept garden are ideal for enjoying the outside. Breakfasts were extensive, cooked very well and a very good start to the day. Jane and John couldn't have done more for all their guests, parking was easy, access was also easy and it's a great location. It was an enjoyable few days at Torquay for made better by our stay at The Haytor Hotel which we would honestly recommend to anyone
