Booked a standard double room, and got a small queen size bed for two persons, one bedside instead of two, no wardrobe, only one chair, no tv remote control, had to ask for one. 130/night not good enough for

This has been a disappointment. I was quite excited about staying there because of good reviews. The hotel qualifies itself as "luxury boutique hotel", and it has nothing luxurious. The bathroom had mold and paint coming off of it. Also, although it's a Victorian house so I understand the soundproofing can't be the best, we felt like our neighbors were in the same room as us.

There was a wedding at the time of our stay and people kept on coming back during the night and being very loud, even trying to get inside our room at some point. Finally, the breakfast was ok, but again not to the standard of a high end boutique hotel, not offering fresh orange juice and the specialty coffees being an additional charge. Overall a big disappointment!

Once again a great experience everything about our visit was spot on. We will be back.

Had a great stay. Small double for the night which was good enough for me and the man, clean, and lovely shower. All facilities where good. Reception was very helpful. Reason it's not 5star, the room got very very hot in the morning! Only felt cooler with bathroom door opened to let in air from window. Really nice and helpful. We didn't have breakfast so can't tell you how that was. Rooms pleasant but a little mould in the shower.

Beautiful room, comfy bed, delicious breakfasts and superb service, and just a stones throw from the beach. A wonderful short break, thank you for having us.

Very disapointed in this hotel which is more of a 3 star B&B at a push. Car parked miles away and no help with the luggage. Staff not interested and we didnt even get shown to our room. Room tatty and sheets had to be changed. Dogs barking and doors slamming all night. Got so bad nearly checked out at 1am but too knackered. Decided to cut short our stay by 2 nights.

Outstanding service and the perfect Portsmouth getaway hotel. They organized prosecco and flowers to be in our room for our arrival which was a lovely suprise and just went above and beyond to make our stay special.
