Great small hotel with lovely staff. Room was tastefully decorated and comfortable. Super location and we had a sea view which is worth the extra. The hotel offers car parking permits at only 2 per day which is an excellent service. Only disappointment was the breakfast, first day scrambled eggs were far too dry, the orange and apple juice were budget and not very pleasant. Second day I opted for the full English but would only give it 5 out of 10.

Just returned from a weekend in Southsea with an Isle of Wight visit and staying at this fantastic hotel. From start to finish on arrival to checking out cannot fault the professionalism of all the staff from front of desk to dining service to everyone on the team. Breakfast beautiful.room service perfect. The only criticism a few extra biscuits and a safely slip mat in the shower. We look forward to returning.

I stayed week in this hotel for to daughters wedding in two different rooms. We were let down by another hotel for all rooms booked and had to find something quick. We chose Seacrest all the staff were helpful friendly I have never seen such a clean hotel.the beds were comfortable great breakfast with many choices. Beautiful decor. Do not be fooled by the outside. All guests that were part of our group said the same. Will stay again

Really welcoming Hotel. We were on a mini vacation before the arrival of our little one, and the staff where accomodating, polite and friendly. We wanted a place on the beachfront so we can relax and walk up the promenade, watch the ships and have a go on the arcades. Our room was lovely and clean, warm and tastefully designed with a lot of care put into presentation. Bathrooms immaculate!
It helped that they had a lift for my wife, but the stairs are no problem to navigate, not too steep. The breakfasts are great, and the full English is top notch, but I'd also recommend the Salmon Muffin also. This is a lovely little gem, the staff and the owners have put a lot of effort in this place, and it shows in the history which they are proud of also. God bless to all the staff. Thanks for the lovely stay.

Friendly welcome when we arrived. Bedroom is smallish but for a couple of nights that's no problem. The room was very clean. Staff are lovely. Breakfast was delicious and well cooked. Lots of choices, from Salmon muffin, eggs benedict to a traditional English breakfast. And on top, you can help yourself to cereals, fruit, yoghurts. Toast is brought to the table along with tea or coffee. There's a wide choice of what tea you would like. Would definitely recommend this hotel. And will 100% be back

Lovely place right by the shore, quiet, dog friendly, cozy bar downstairs. In the basement is the restaurant and the included breakfast had lots of choices. Room was tidy, normal size, and the bathroom clean and modern. If you have your key or reservation when you eat at the Florence Arms pub, which was great food, you get a discount. There's a bus walking distance to the hotel, but if you drive you get a voucher for parking. I'd stay here again!

We had a lovely stay. It was in a great location right on the beach front. We took our dog with us as well. The room was lovely, the breakfast was lovely and the hotel was decorated very tastefully. We would defo stay there again. There was a great little dog friendly pub round the corner call The Florence Arms. You get a discount if your staying at the Seacrest hotel as well.worth every penny.

Nice hotel with helpful staff especially Lenuta who went out of her way to provide me with food in the evening. Lovely room with sea view, only drawback was the mattress was hard and I had backache. The restaurant was on lower ground floor and accessed by steep stairs, no lift down. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Lovely comfy chairs in the lounge but it was inadequately heated as was the restaurant.

Location is amazing and the rooms are very clean. Unfortunately, breakfast is very small and limited and some members of staff struggle with guests asking for more. With that said, we really enjoyed our stay here, but before you visit do not get too excited about breakfast contrary to what many reviews online have said.

The staff were hightly courteous, competent, considerate and friendly. The rooms were immaculate. There was an emergency during my stay and the performance of the staff was above and beyond, staying until 2am, making sure guests were catered to and breakfast was still sorted! All the way through our stay (which included a large wedding party) the service was amazing and family members have re-booked to stay there on our next family event.
The breakfasts were better than you could buy and the in bar drinks were reasonably priced, what more can you ask for? Can honestly say i would reccomend the secrest and its staff to all Xxxx

Only a one night stay and room was on the small side although clean, well decorated and with a small but fully functioning shower/toilet. Strange stairs (like Fawlty Towers) and lift does not go down to basement restaurant which may be a problem for some. However it is a pleasant place and served a good table-service breakfast. Provided with parking permit for 2 but very lucky to find a space anywhere on the road outside.

My husband and I stayed at Seacrest Hotel when we visited Portsmouth for a friend's wedding. It's a pretty good place to stay (considering there didn't seem to be anywhere near here that was less than 100 per night. *sigh*) Eeps: - The decor was all a bit twee and dated, it sort of reminded us of fawlty towers - The waffles at breakfast were covered in super-sweet-golden-syrup-esque fake maple syrup.
It just wasn't my cup of tea. Yays: - It's close to the sea, so nice if you fancy a walk after breakfast - Although I wasn't keen on the decor in our room, I did quite like the eclectic mix of chairs downstairs in the living room - The shower worked pretty well - They include breakfast in the price, with a decent cup of tea (or three) - The staff were all really, really nice. All in all, I thought it was a bit overpriced, but not a bad place to stay.
