We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The room was ever so slightly basic but perfectly fine and clean. The location of the hotel is great for walking the coastal path and the St Martin's parish is very quaint. Breakfast was good quality and well presented, and plenty of it too. Only minor comment that the bread on our second day was quite average. Otherwise, the hotel met all our needs for a long weekend break and we would definitely consider staying here again next time we're in Guernsey.

DO NOT GO HERE! We stayed at this hotel 30 years ago for our honeymoon and enjoyed the hotel and staff. The island is lovely. SADLY the hotel we arrived at this time was not the same, apart from possibly the decor in our room. we booked a superior double room. Neither was it superior or double! It was dingy and right next to the pool so noisy, there is a fridge sat on the floor with all it's back on show which looked like it had been there for years.
As I said we booked a double room but found it to be a twin so went to the desk and pointed this out, and the lady bluntly said they are fully booked and that is the only room! We asked why we were not told at time of booking as we would have tried elsewhere, and was told she could not contact us? So we were stuck with a twin. When we came to leave we were still charged the same as a superior double and was told it was the same?
It is not! we feel MISLED AND MIS-SOLD. There is no WIFI apart from the bar area. The outdoor pool was not available when we wanted to use it as they have children's pool parties that take over the entire area, this is not made apparent when booking. The place generally looked run down, the ironing board in our room was burnt and the cover was cracking and hanging off, the tiles on the building roof at the top loads have fell off.
Breakfast was very disjointed sometimes toast came out long before the cooked breakfast other times we were finished before toast arrived. Breakfast and toast were brought to the table but drinks you had to get yourself. All in all we enjoyed the island as we did 30yrs ago, and hope to return one day, BUT NOT THE HOTEL! We will not stay there again

Gubby, we had room 23 it was terrible, on arrival it was cold when I ask for the heating i was told it should be working today but I have an small electric one in the room, I said no there's isn't one. Breakfast was terrible. We were told it was not consist of tea, coffee, fruit juice, cereals, only English breakfast or continental and if we wanted tea or coffee it was extra so full English breakfast, 1 slice of bacon, 1 egg, half a tomato 1sausage mushroom and the nice waitress gave us toast with 2 butter no jams nothing.
I ask for tea and was given a warm pot of water the bags couldn't brew, our room was not nice. The bed It was a disappointing the spring was sticking into you any movements it played music and even though I complained and mentioned it nothing was done. The carpet in the dining area was missing a peice, one morning their was no milk we were told the boss went to the shop to get it this was a quiet time for the hotel only 4 couples and yet our rooms and breakfast, dinner and accommodation was a terrible experience. The location was marvellous but the hotel is outdated and needs the owners looking into it, my holiday was completely ruined

What an amazing hidden gem. Why does no-one mention the amazing views?! For easy access to that, this is the best located hotel in Guernsey. It is also incredible service. Personalised, with the manager himself wanting to show you things if you want. Every member of staff goes above and beyond. For example, I came back one day to find an electric heater in my room.
I hadn't been cold. I think they were trying to help me dry my socks that I had laid out damp. (It worked!) For such a great hotel I am surprised it is not constantly full, and much more expensive. I guess the reason is that it is not in town - though that is only a couple of miles away, so easily accessible. I have found there is little need for town, with lovely places to relax in and around the hotel, and have I not yet mentioned the amazing food! If you are in Guernsey for the beautiful scenery, this is the place for you.

Staff are excellent, location is amazing & food is good. Rooms however are not good, we were in a room on the ground floor & the people above us we could hear very clearly, walking around, conversations. I don't mean voices I mean the actual words, even what they were doing in the bathroom, there was very little sound proofing if any. It was a great shame, but if I stayed there for a week it would drive me crazy, maybe a room upstairs would be better, but I can only share my experience
