The Imperial Hotel

Not even got into our room yet - booked - arrived early - informed reception - left our bags (fab- would think they couldn't forget us) spent 60 quid in the restaurant as we waited for our check in - returned to reception - told room will be another 45 mins as it was not ready (not cleaned) - we questioned how we could be here for two hours yet they had not been able to clean it - apparently they are busy / it was missed - no offer of a free tea or coffee - infact the impression given off by the members of staff is that we are in the wrong and we are hassling them - not customer service I would ever return for - do not feel they are even attempting to get our room cleaned - so far they have been cleaning our room for 40 minutes.

No one has been over to apologise- again feeling very 'in the way' stuffed up a corner in an EMPTY hotel lobby (not busy in the slightest) waiting for the slowest cleaner/cleaners I have ever known of. 8/10 when we walked in - first impressions 1/10 for customers service 10/10 for food. Really disappointed.

Wonderful place to stay with beautiful views across the bay, the staff were top class and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food is excellent and well presented. I would highly recommend a stay here.

We stayed in room 17. the room was ok but the view was was fabulous.

This hotel is a hidden gem, so much better than a ! The staff were welcoming & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was great. My husband & I stayed for 3 nights in a Seaview room which was perfect. Food in the resturant was delicious & the breakfast menu was fabulous. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing break.

Very slow service, probably suited to the holiday maker.but not for anyone that wants a quick lunch. Didn't actually get to eat because food didn't arrive in a timely fasion, 45 min wait from time of ordering. However the food that had been delivered to other tables looked and smelt really nice, so I'm going to be kind and add an extra star. I hope they improve!

Good food, clean airey nice atmosphere, good attentive friendly staff. Well worth a re visit and possibly stay overnight or two. And the live music was decent too.
