An Oasis, hidden in the very centre of this small Medieval Town and Historic Port of Kings Lynn. The original building dates back to Victorian times when it was the private residence of a prominent Kings Lynn businessman. It is ideally situated and it would be hard to find a more pleasant place to stay since it is quiet and restful in its own grounds but yet very central. The hotel was purchased by David Armes the proprietor, in late 1995 and a great deal of refurbishment has taken place in recent years.

The Hotel itself is really lovely. I have stayed in Room 4 on 2 separate occasions and it feels really high end. I ate in the restaurant on the first stay. The food was ok, nothing special. On the 2nd visit, I attended the restaurant at 8.37pm after some late meetings. I was told the kitchen (which had opened at 5.30pm) was now shut, but I could (begrudgingly) have a Sandwich or Scampi and Chips.
I'm vegetarian, so Scampi wasn't an option and a sandwich wasn't really of interest. I found it very odd that a hotel restaurant would only be open for 3 hours Staff were generally pleasant. Would stay again, but wouldn't bother eating there

We haven't stayed here yet but definitely will be in the new year. Guys we watched you on 4 in a bed and you were great!. You took criticism that was baseless and yet you were polite and considered in your response. You were the winners in our opinion and quite honestly your place and what you offer is head and shoulders over the others. The Doghouse hotel 160 a night with no common dining room so you eat in your room and in Margate.
Also their comments about your not paying enough attention to your guests, hmmmm. Besides one nice couple im not sure I'd care too much to get to know 4 of them either!. My wifes from KL so we are there often and we are definitely booking to stay with you.

Although we stayed there in 2017 and unfortunately have not been able to get back, the actual Hotel has left a lasting impression on my husband and self, first because of the excellent management and friendliness of the owners and their attention to every detail. It is so comfortable and set in lovely grounds. From meet and greet to a chocolate bowl delight set on the small table to the beautiful atmospheric restaurant. Loved it!
Would love to return there one day. We stayed there because it was close to Sandringham which we wanted to visit being on an overseas trip, but staying at this particular hotel left us both with really wonderful memories! Thank you so much for all the effort you guys put into making Comfort your main aim!
