We like this hotel, have visited twice and expect to return. The location is good, being close to the North Norfolk coast and surrounded by lovely countryside. The atmosphere of the hotel is relaxed and friendly, there is nothing pretentious about it which can be a pitfall of many spa hotels. I would say this is a very nice hotel which also has a spa.
The decor was good, service always attentive and the rooms comfortable. The spa was good though for me the saunas were not hot enough, but the steam room was excellent. The restaurant was good but only just. It didn't quite make it to excellence which is a shame. It is hard to say what was missing, maybe just missing some of the flavour expected from the excellent ingredients. We will very likely return and hope for that little extra push from the kitchen!

Absolutely loved our stay, all the staff were fantastic. All so friendly! We stayed in the orchard cabins which were very modern and well sized! Such a cool experience watching Norfolk wildlife from your bedroom or whilst chilling in the outside bath! Only slight criticism was I think the cabins could do with aircon units or the fan should be looked at circulating more cold air as it was difficult to cool down the temperature of the room. We will definitely be staying again - the best staycation I have had in UK! Top work to all at Congham Hall!

We had afternoon tea booked for my mum's birthday. Sadly she was unwell last minute as she has cancer when we were leaving so could not go. On arrival I explained this to reception and asked if we could take a boxed one for her home. I was told no as they did not do take away. I thought this most unhelpful especially as I see someone taking some of their afternoon tea home that they had not finished. The afternoon tea itself was ok nothing special. The waiting staff were very nice and helpful.

A fantastic escape destination. A Georgian style building with newly decorated bedrooms. The cost living room has a beautifully snug log fire. Fairfax and Favour Explorers on hand if you forget your wellies. Unfortunately dinner wasn't being served on Monday and Tuesday's while we were there but the breakfast was nice. A well stocked bar and very accomodating staff. The spa and pool are great too however, the range of products used in the spa could be a little higher quality. Otherwise great.

Beautiful building and location. It's been lovingly modernised and extended. The spa is looking well worn, in the pool and sauna areas. The maintenance team could do with the grouting in parts and removing the mould from the silicone in all the communal showers. The room showers have the same issue. Like with all spas that are run by employees the staff are young.
I had a wonderful experience with Emily. My next treatment with one of the other girls reflected their age and lack of experience. All the staff are friendly and bend over backwards to make sure you're having the best time in the spa and in the hotel reception. What I would say is the restaurant could do with being a little more generous in its breakfast portions.
The potatoes were just one slice of potato. They don't offer baked beans. You have to request them in advance apparently?! Who knew! The main meals were mixed. Please think about texture in your vegan options? Vegans don't just want to eat risotto or just eat veg. They like texture and crunch like the rest of the omnivores. Also please consider putting a protein with your veggie options like tofu or a meat replacement.
I think I'd go back just to have a treatment with Emily. I wouldn't stay again as it's very expensive for the quality you receive. It's the same price roughly as dinner bed and breakfast in a Michelin restaurant that I've stayed at down the road.

A massive thank you to the wonderful team at Congham Hall for such lovely couple of days. Danielle, Sean and Beth looked after us exceptionally well as did all the others without exception. The hotel is stunning and exceptionally welcoming, the spa was really lovely, the food delightful, especially the chicken and lamb dishes which we might just go back next week for again.
Our two girls were made to feel very special and part of the Congham family - we will certainly book regular escapes to revisit. Home from Home. See you soon - Charlie, Claire and the girls

Very disappointed with the spa experience that we had this afternoon. Only one of the saunas were working, the steam room didn't work, the spa showers were only partially working and the entire place was cold and uncomfortable. The facial was very good, however the relaxation room where we were sent afterwards was so cold we could not stay in there.
We let the lady at reception know all of this, and she seemed rather nonplussed and offered a half hearted apology. For a spa that bills itself as a high class establishment, it's standards were disappointing to say the least, and definitely not in keeping with the image that has been cultivated. On a positive note, the afternoon tea was lovely and served in the library which had an open fire, so at least we ended the day warm!

We went here for a 'half day taste and treat' spa package. We were both pleasantly surprised how great this place was! We went on a Saturday in October, it wasn't busy at all, nobody there when we arrived and only saw four other people the entire time. The grounds are lovely, gardens and trees can be seen from the hot tub outside, we watched pheasants and squirrels run around under the oak trees.
The spa had a pool, experience showers, a steam room, foot baths and two saunas. The massages we had were good, staff friendly and helpful, I would say the pressure wasn't enough for me but it was still nice. The restaurant catered well to our dietary requirements (vegetarian) and the food was lovely, the dessert was really great. It was a really relaxing view from the restaurant as you could see the grounds. All in all, we want to come back and it was a really lovely day.

Wow wow and wow, went for an elemental spa day and this was bliss. The treatments body scrub, full body massage, facial and scalp massage were just heavenly and the facilities were very good. The lunch that was included in the package was exceptionally good. I loved our day here and didn't want it to end. Just the place for some R&R. I can't wait to return.

Faultless! I was taken away for 1 night for my birthday present and i feel i was totally spoilt. All the staff make you instantly feel welcome and comfortable in your surroundings. The food was beautiful & the cocktails were great. The spa was very relaxing & to be able to have a cocktails whilst you relax in the outside hot tub was a bonus! I left here feeling very lucky & very relaxed. Thank you to every member of staff.

Was treated to a spa afternoon. The facilities are spotlessly clean and staff friendly and helpful. Full use of sauna, steam room, hot tub and swimming pool before treatments. I had back and shoulder massage which was relaxing and geared for me after filling out consultation form. You get a copy of what was done when treatment finished. The afternoon tea was lovely with a selection of cakes, cream tea, sandwiches, dessert and drink. Dietary needs catered for when booking. A thoroughly enjoyable experience which I can't wait to try again.
