We stayed 2 nights at Coppleridge and unfortunately had a number of issues during our stay. This included no hot water and no water pressure in the shower (the room next door also experienced no hot water during their stay as well). The hotel's breakfast wasn't well equipped with no coffee available to us on the first morning and no decaf tea available during our stay.
Service from staff was disappointing and not capable of following simple requests e.g. 'no mushrooms' was translated in the kitchen as 'extra mushrooms and no bacon'. We tried to discuss the issues with the manager before checking out and were told that "He's upstairs but too busy to deal with you. Email him instead" which we have since discovered means - "go away".
The manager has since emailed to say that we're lying about the lack of hot water (not sure why anyone would do this) and that we're also lying about the lack of coffee (again, not sure why we would lie about something like this) and if we had a problem we should have talked to him about it during our stay - which we couldn't do as he was 'too busy'. I have to say I've never received such incompetent and unapologetic service in all my life. Extremely disappointing.

We stayed 1 night in a king room. The room was very comfortable and clean. It is in a stunning location. Graham was particularly helpful for our group and sorted out storing our stuff and putting in the rooms for us. Breakfast was included and had a good selection. Service was a little slow here. I would recommend and would stay again.

Niel was very welcoming and swiftly showed us our rooms, made sure we had everything needed and turned up the heating to make it cozy later in the evening. I was pleasantly surprised that we had our own thermostat, or plenty of windows to open in the summer. The whole place had a wonderful homely feeling both in our room and at the bar/restaurant.
It's very pet friendly we saw lots of people with dogs. Room itself was very spacious, with plenty of space for bags etc. Lots of windows with plenty of natural light and very clean. Bathroom had hand soap and showergel and water was hot with good shower pressure. Generous number of towels provided and bath mats. My mum tried out the big bath and rated it highly. Loved the Tennis court to have a mess about on with my partner, we ended up playing until nearly dark with the provided rackets and balls, you simply ask at the bar.
Drink prices were fair and a great selection available. We also ate on site and enjoyed the majority of our meals, desserts were amazing so definitely try those! The Breakfast was tasty and plenty of toast/cereal/tea/coffee provided with a cooked English breakfast, even did us scrambled egg on request. I'm not sure if we'll ever be in this area again, but if we were I'd 100% stay here again or even stop off for a drink to take in the beautiful sunset.

Booked a new years meal and questioned when booking to make sure there would be gluten free vegetarian options. We were assured there would be. There was not. I was then offered a beef burger without the burger or the bun. they did say they could do a tomato soup but we left as we were so disappointed. Would not recommend.
