Checked out today and couldn't wait to leave a review (and I'm not one to normally do so) since our experience was so incredible. The hosts were so nice, breakfast was amazing! Their two dogs (Chip and Coco) were the sweetest. Overall an extremely pleasant experience and would blindly recommend the place to anyone! Thanks again for everything.

The hosts, Dan and Megan, went over and beyond the call of duty in almost every aspect of our stay. We were there with our 3 children and their spouses, a late Christmas do, we booked at the last moment, having been let down on other accommodation, each room was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and the most comfortable beds, a good choice of freshly cooked food both for breakfast and dinner.
Very trusting, an honesty bar. Only one minor niggle, coffee would have been good at times other than after dinner, from the bar. Instead we had to make it in our rooms. We will certainly book again, maybe for a next late Christmas affair

If you want a home away from home hotel, which is spotlessly kept, with lovely family hosts, exceptional food, the most comfortable beds in the world and a short walk to the beach and town, then definitely book to stay here! Two beautiful chocolate labradors and chickens in the garden were wonderful to see each day too. Our children didn't want to go home!

Nice friendly hotel. Reasonable basic but has all the necessary things. I stayed a few nights in a single occupancy room, which though small, wasn't tiny (like some I looked at in Sidmouth). I had plenty of room for my bags and still be able to have a bit of space to move around in. The room was clean and the ensuite perfectly serviceable. The tea and coffee making facilities were fine.
My room faced the road, but at night there's hardly any traffic so noise wasn't a problem. It has two times for breakfast (8:15am/9:15am), which the earlier time worked for me. I had full english each day, which was a constantly good standard and only had to wait a few minutes for it to appear. There is an ouside covered patio with seating off the breakfast/dining room which would be nice if the weather was good (was a bit drizzly/damp when I stayed).
Staff were at all times pleasant and attentive. There is only one sitting for dinner, if you book it, which is 7pm (I didn't have dinner). There is also a bar and fairly large bar/lounge area for general clientele use. At the time of my visit it was an honesty bar (I didn't avail myself of it, but stock seemed good). I would certainly stay there again.
