Whitley Hall is an ivy-clad 16th century mansion located amongst 20 acres of stunning gardens and woodland. Whitley Hall was the successor to an earlier house located on or near the same site and was formerly known as Launder House. The first known recording of the existence of this earlier house was in 1406 when John Cartwright surrendered his right to the property to William Robinson and his heirs.

Most of the staff where really nice, but the room where awful and so was the food. The sasuges in the morning where solid and only half of it was cooked. The food at the wedding was horrible, the beef was solid and the brown was like someone pained a brick black. The food was so badly cooked it gave Most of us food poisoning. The prices of the room where terrible, if the rooms and food where nice and better it would be worth it but it definitely wasn't. If I ever go up again I'd rather stay at the Premier Inn down the road

Just got home from a stunning stay at Whitley Hall Hotel; romantic break away turned luxury. The staff are all friendly, accomodating and generous with their time. The food was outstanding, with visible thought and expertise put into the presentation a flavour train. We had a cute room with garden and pond view, plenty of appliances available for outfit preparation.
Breakfast was efficient and simple, but still delicious. We thoroughly look forward to visiting again. Unfortunate weather and a long car journey have made a 2-night stay a must.

Attended a wedding recently room in the Parker suite the room was beautifully decorated, staff very efficient and the food was delicious! My only criticism was the bar prices. The sign on the wall stated 5.75 for San Miguel but the till charged 6.25. My husband challenged it and was told the prices had gone up 2days ago. When I went to the bar I noticed a price list in the wall but also one propped up at the side with 5.95. still not the 6.25 being charged. Being a guest at the wedding I didn't feel it appropriate to call in the manager and the bar staff were all young and it wasn't their fault but I feel this needs addressing.

My sister's wedding and have to say that the place is amazing. Staff were lovely and the food was stunning. The rooms are really comfortable, though if you want a coffee you'll need to look in the wardrobe for the kettle et al. Briefly saw the wedding suite and Wow, that is something really special. A brilliant place, highly recommended.

Food is first class. Nothing too much trouble. Would like to return, my wife had trouble getting upstairs to use the ladies room, and coming down. Is there any possibility of building some kind of toilets downstairs for the handicap. Would love to have Christmas lunch again there next year and bring the family.

Incredibly helpful staff and lovely location. Outside area well heated even in October. Only thing to watch out for is maybe set your radiator down a little bit when first getting in the room as mine was way too warm later in the night. It's possibly personal preference though, as I like to go in to a cold room to sleep in, so I can't knock them for it (and some may consider this a plus!)

This was a fantastic wedding venue. Great ambience and aesthetics on a clear and visual day. The staff are professional and very helpful, and they provided two bars to keep lines short. From what I understand, the bride had a bit of difficulty with them taking food away in the evening, but this was sorted very quickly. All around, a good place to have a wedding!
