Just arrived back from a 2 night stay and I would avoid this place at all cost. The room was outdated and filthy, windows rattling all night. Woke up Saturday morning went into the bathroom and there was an infestation of flies on the walls, ceiling and the bath was covered in flies. The shower curtain was black with mould, empty shampoo bottle and soap in the shower.

Outside the front door was covered in cobwebs full of flies, empty glasses outside the front door from arrival and still there when leaving. Went down to reception, nobody there, a waiter setting up for breakfast came up and rinsed the bath out, still flies everywhere. Was told by him there would be nobody on reception for another 2 hours. Finally when there was someone on reception and informing them about the issues, their response was to blame agency staff and excuse after excuse. Will never vist this hotel again. I would recommend it bulldozed

Booked the hotel for a trip to Thorpe park. The location is excellent, right on the River Thames. Rooms although clean, were looking very tired and in need of modernising and TLC

Very disappointed. If this hotel has an old part and a new part, we definitely was in the old bit. The room was dated and unclean. The kettle was full of scale which came out every time you poured water into your cup. The bed was awful. You could feel the springs every time you moved and it was also bowed in the middle meaning we both fell into the middle all night.

The windows were thin so we could hear everyone's conversations outside and one of the panes were cracked. All the curtains and blinds in both the room and bathroom were broken. There was no shower gel provided only shampoo and condition and only one large towel. The toilet seat fixing was broken so you would have to be careful when you sat down.the bathroom had no extractor fan either.

On top of all this, upon arrival we had to wait 10 minutes for a member of staff to appear to check us in. This hotel is very dated. This was definitely not worth the 70 that we were charged.

Hotel is a bit dated and tired but rooms are clean and plenty of hot water and quite quiet aswell in main hotel Had evening meal there it was a bit like a Faulty towers episode. They stopped serving food at 3pm on a Sunday after being in work all day that's all you want. Need to sort it out

Just stayed this week 5.04.22 for three nights having been to Brooklands and mercedes world, yes the hotel might be a little dated but it makes up for it many other ways, starting with the lovely Karen(hello my darlings) who serves the breakfast she was amazing and the evening staff who served our evening meals were very attentive to our every need, place was very clean and a nice place to stay couldn't fault our stay

Location was beautiful right over the river, nice place to have a drink and watch the boats, prices for drinks not too bad, lovely staff and very helpful, only gave 4 stars as no food served Sunday evening and was not informed, hotels I thought would always have some sort of food being served, not knowing the area could not find any where open, ended up in M @ S salad

Great little hotel. very welcoming and beautiful rooms. Had a few issues with appliances in the room like the TV but we didn't really come for the that so it wasn't an issue. I advise to anyone who wants a weekend away.

Excellent location, the room was comfortable, our only slight criticism was the pillows were a little firm for our liking. However we slept well. The breakfast was really good.

We had a ground floor club room which gave us direct access to the terrace with a Fantastic view. Hotel was fine and we got parking at the hotel. Breakfast was average but sufficed enough. The only drawback was that the limited menu at the hotel meant there was no option for my gluten free wife. With the Anchor opposite closed and the Kings Head not doing food, it meant we had to travel to the Red lion for an evening meal.

The rooms are nothing like the photos. The door to our room kept opening by itself because the lock didn't work. There was a lot of dust on the window ledges, plus spiders in the bathroom. A quarters of the toilet paper was already used and there was a yellow stain on the towel which was in our room. My partner and I wanted to leave as soon as we got to the room.

On the bright side, the staff were nice but I wouldn't stay there again. I guess if you just need a low budget place to stay for the night, so you check-in late at night and leave early morning, it's ok. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend it
