Located in the beautiful cathedral City of Truro, our hotel is ideally placed to cater for business people and tourists alike. On foot, we are less than 10 minutes from the city centre. By road the mid peninsular location ensures that nowhere in Cornwall should be, more than an hours drive away. With well-stocked licensed bar, traditional restaurant, two function rooms, leisure facilities including sauna and Jacuzzi, two large car parks, central location and an easygoing style we are perfect for either a holiday or a business visit.

It is all in the detail. Our first visit to Cornwall, the Carlton featured high on our list from the excellent reviews that we had read. The Carlton hotel first impressions were very clean, Covid compliant, and well managed. Our hosts Debbie, and Mark, worked very hard making sure that our stay was enjoyable and restful. We checked into Two rooms during our stay both very clean, with nice views, over the golf course and the port and beach areas.
Breakfast was consistently good every single day, I loved the pastries as a change to my cooked breakfast. All products used in the breakfast room were what you would expect from a higher end tea shop, I like my coffee in proper cups. The bar area and terrace was large enough to host everyone comfortably occupying the rooms. We used the bar for a pre evening drink and a retiring night cap after a walk.
The bar was well stocked and operated through an honesty bar. Location wise, The Carlton is up near the Headland a quieter location away from Newquay town. The car park is next door, Fistral beach a 10 minute walk as is the town centre. We will definitely return to see Debbie and Mark at the Carlton Hotel, it's a long drive down but worth it. We recently fancied a few days away following the lockdown and chose the Carlton as we stayed here a couple of years ago and were very impressed with this B&B. We were a little nervous about being away from home due to the Corona virus but once we walked through the front door our minds were immediately put at rest. This B&B is immaculate, our room was luxurious, spacious, restful, quiet and spotless with stunning views across Fistral beach.
Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely landlady Debbie and her husband Mark. As soon as we entered this beautiful building there was hand sanitiser for all residents use, everything in our room was spotless had been sanitised and sealed in plastic bags, including the tv remote control. The mattress, bedding and towels were of the highest quality and the breakfast was simply the best we have ever tasted!
If you like us fancy a few relaxing days away treat yourselves as we did, there are so many beautiful places to visit and you will feel relaxed and totally chilled at the end of your stay. Thank you so much Debbie & Mark, you work so hard and deserve to do well, you should be so proud of yourselves!

We were lucky to have stayed here for 4 nights recently this hotel was better than i could have imagined lovely hosts very nice people nothing was to much trouble for Debbie. The room we had (7) was very clean lovely view of the golf course and friskal beach it was decorated lovely. The breakfast was fantastic good menu choice the cooked breakfast is to die for and the food was always hot we couldn't have had better food.
I must say that when you look at the web site the photos are just the same as the place itself it was very high class in our opinion. We were treated like one of the family we would sit outside in the evening and Debbie would always ask us if we needed a blanket and she put the outside heaters on too Top class.

The perfect stay with the perfect hosts. The hotel is really calm, beautiful and we'll appointed and you feel like you're in your home away from home. The owners are so accomodating that whatever needs you might have, you can be sure they'll meet them with a smile. We're definitely coming back and recommending the Carlton to friends.

We have just had a 5 night stay at The Carlton Hotel. Beautiful hotel with lots of little touches that just make it special. Breakfast amazing we had 3 different breakfasts over the 5 days. Lovely area to sit and have a drink on an evening. Loved every minute. Thank you Debbie and Mark it was perfect. Carol & David Bingley West Yorkshire
