Situated on the edge of the beautiful Glen Affric National Nature Reserve, the Tomich Hotel can be found in the pretty conservation village of Tomich. The Tomich Hotel is only 45 minutes drive from Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, and 20 minutes drive from Drumnadrochit. This traditional stone built hotel was the Victorian Hunting Lodge for Lord Tweedmouth??s Guisachan estate in the latter half of the 1800??s.
The estate was very much self contained; kennels, brewery, bakery, mill house, school house etc, many of the building still stand today, although they are now in private use.

Services
There are 8 fully ensuite quality bedrooms in the Hotel. The rooms have been re-furbished to a high standard, but all remain individual in character and assure a peaceful and relaxing stay. All rooms offer flat screen freeview tv's, telephone, tea & coffee making facilities, quality bath products and white fluffy towels. One of each style of room is available on the ground floor with Wi-fi available in the main building.
The Tomich Hotel has established an excellent reputation for its home-made food, friendly service and Highland hospitality. Sit in the traditional cosy Black Pennell bar beside the roaring fire and soak up the atmosphere. The bar is open all day for you to enjoy morning coffee, a leisurely lunch, a cream tea or a relaxing bar supper.
Our hotel is closed over the festive period however the premises as a whole are available to hire over the New Year holidays for use as a 'self-catering holiday home'. It is ideally placed and well suited for anyone looking for that perfect Highland getaway. Rent inclusive of logs/coal/electricity/gas and linen.
From Inverness you would take the A82 towards Fort William, taking the A831 at Drumnadrochit towards Cannich. On the A831 just before Cannich you will find yourself driving down into a small valley. At the bottom, where the road curves round to the right, there is a small road leading to the left with a Tomich Hotel sign.

The Tomich Hotel is a fantastic out of the way hotel. I've never stayed but I've eaten in the bar on several occasions. Tomich is a village at the end of the road. It's packed full of history and is set in spectacular surroundings. There are some fantastic walks to the local falls and in the middle of the village is the Tomich Hotel. It offers a warm welcome with open fires and a cracking wee bar. It's got a real traditional Highland feel. The food is good and prices are reasonable.
