Priory Hotel Welcome to the Priory Hotel, situated in the picturesque village square of Beauly. The Priory is an ideal location for enjoying the unspoilt beauty of the North and West Highland of Scotland. In the 13th Century Cistercian monks built a Priory here, deciding that Beauly was the ideal spot for their secluded meditation and worship. They found fulfilment through strict rules on diet, silence and hard work. Not surprisingly the guests at The Priory Hotel have found a slightly different route of bliss. In fact, our three steps to fulfilment are quite the opposite.
Services
Where do you start with the North Coast 500, the iconic road trip which has just become a global phenomenon. The route was marketed just a few years ago but now a bucket list for many who want to visit the North of Scotland and sample the delights of the area. The Priory Hotel in Beauly is less than ten miles from the start (or finish depending on how you want to look at it!) of the NC500 route and it offers a splendid place with its own history to be explored. Most drivers will do the route in an anti clockwise direction meaning that you'd leave Beauly and join the A9 heading north.

Held birthday dinner here for my Brothers 70th last night. Couldn't have asked for better. Staff very friendly and attentive. Service was excellent food also very good. Would recommend this hotel even just for a meal.

Can't fault the place in terms of food, comfort and service. They've always looked after us when we go. Admittedly, the place is a little dated. It's a bit 90s decor. It would be fantastic if they gave the lounge and bar area a bit of a revamp. Easier said than done in a really busy hotel, however.

The overall hotel is good but slow at times. lovely staff. As the room are a good standard needs to be modern so does the dining room. Bar looks okay can't see a price of the cost when getting a drink. Should have a buffet breakfast so we can chose what we want

Went for Sunday high tea with friends. Restaurant was very busy which is always a good sign. The food arrived in good time and was delicious I had the home-made steak pie. Service was really good too.

The staff makes this place special. We booked accommodation, lunch and dinner for a small wedding party. During the booking process we were helped with organising our buffet lunch and main dinner service. We were also given excellent advice on where to source flowers etc locally, the best places to take amazing photos after the wedding ceremony, in Inverness and around Beauly and even going so far as to lend us 2 large white umbrellas in case it rained!

During our stay the staff were very helpful and friendly, kindly asking if we had everything we needed and even coming to our room to check if we were okay before the wedding ceremony. We truly had an amazing stay, the room was large, clean and comfortable. Our table for both lunch and dinner were beautifully laid out for us in a nice private corner of the restaurant and there were added special touches at the dinner table which made it even more special.

The food was outstanding and everything was cooked to perfection and served in a timely manner with a service that was second to none. We couldn't have wished for more from them. With a special thank you to Paula, Kate and Chris.

Use the Priory Hotel often for meals. Always first class service, reasonable prices and good food. We'll set out for social distancing and always spotless.

A bit disappointed with the rooms as not as modern and spacious as appeared in their photos. Duvet cover had huge rip and didn't find the bed comfy. On the plus side breakfast was fantastic if you like a fry up.

We had two lovely nights stay with our dogs here. Our evening meals and breakfast were very delightful and tasty. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Hall & stair carpets could do with a clean but otherwise good value for money. Located in the centre of this attractive village with good shops next door.

Stopped in for tea and a pint after visiting the priory. Great service. Friendly people and a warm fire in the hearth. Beautiful cheese tray featuring local cheeses, strawberries and fresh currants. Nice beer selection. Tea was perfect with a plate of savory finger sandwiches and a plate of small cakes. Very generous portions and reasonable prices.

Always a warm welcome from Gary & his team and you are always assured of good food. Menu is extensive featuring local Haggis, Venison as well as a great selection of Steaks. Food is always consistently good and it shows as the restaurant is always full with locals using it.

Belated review, as it was last year I stayed but my Aunt and Uncle are regulars and assure me is the same! This is a superb hotel for the price, I'd pay more happily, many of the rooms are large, corner twin we had was huge with 2 recliner chairs, with footsools, spacious bathroom, was spotlessly clean, friendly staff, its got it all. The food in the bar/restaurant is excellent, they do a high tea worth cakes etc, but menu is varied with something for everyone, ,4 of us all enjoyed our meal, faultless.

The cooked breakfast in morning was great too, I could not finish it, 2 of everything, on the full Scottish, selection of fruit, yoghurt, jams etc too, juices and toast, some cold meat and cheeses too. Checkin/ out was quick and easy, this is a lovely area, behind the hotel is a river walk which I found accidentally, near the church. It also has about door area, a courtyard with tables for so fresco dining /drinking.

Will be back asap, rooms average 100 pounds a night, hotel will generally match prices on booking websites so try calling them to see, and means they get full amount, Beauly is a lovely little village, has a boots, a fabulous deli and some other shops including a co op open at 7am, ,e verything you neeed!

After a run round the Black Isle in the car we stopped here for a snack, welcoming staff seated us up in a comfortable eating/lounge area with an open fire. Ordered a lead of starters the pate filled deep fried mushrooms with salad, the filled skins which were more potato wedges with cheese bacon sour cream and sweet peppers, the haggis fritters and soup between the two of us, Food was hot, tasty and reasonably priced, delivered with a smile and pleasant staff checked it was all OK. If recommend this place for either a snack or a meal sad the menu was really nice and reasonable prices as well.

The Priory Hotel is in the centre of Beauly, next to the old priory (one of the sightseeing attractions in this area), hence the name. We found our room to be clean and the beds were comfortable. In the evening there was some noise from the hotel's pub since our room was directly above it. The WiFi was not working reliably during our stay, the hotel staff excused this with some renovation beeing in process.

The breakfast was good, offering a cereals buffet and a variety of warm breakfasts including full scottish, eggs and porridge to order. On one occasion we had to wait more than 30 minutes for our breakfast to be served, due to many guests wanting to beeing served at the same time. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would book here again.
