Stayed here over the weekend and have to say, great little place it is. Plenty parking and enough space for motorcycles as well which is always a benefit. Was checked in by Dave, great chap, turns out he runs the place! Room was decent and very clean, plenty of tea and coffee, decent kettle, lots of space for your stuff. Bathroom was small and functional, exactly what you need. Downstairs the food was good, service was outstanding, was looked after by Dave and his daughter Ellen, both of which are just the kind of people you need behind a bar - nothing was a problem, happy to help with anything.
Second night was Sam and Ange, both of whom were really on the ball, you were never waiting with a dry glass. Decent set of TV screens, a nice jukebox and a decent pool table. Drinks choices were great, locals really friendly and chatty. Lots to do nearby including the Bon Scott statue which is great if you're an AC/DC fan. Plenty nods to Peter Pan for obvious reasons.
Great location for grabbing a day out. I didn't try breakfast but that was on me not the hotel. What I saw though looked fantastic and if it's as fresh as the evening meals were, you're on to a winner. Would definitely stay again. I definitely salute you!
