Terrible experience when I visited the bar on Saturday with friends who were here on holiday. After complaining that a bottle of prosecco was warm and only semi sparkling the only offer from the manager was another bottle of the same. He was very rude and hostile which I could understand if we had been shouting or causing any sort of a scene but as that was not the case the aggressive and hostile way we were treated was appalling.
When we refused to pay we were told to pay or they would call the police. Such terrible service that could have been easily resolved by offering something else instead. Absolutely terrible service. I will never be back and will certainly not recommended to anyone, my advice go elsewhere.

We only used the restaurant so can't comment on the hotel. Sat on balcony overlooking River. Beautiful food, although the balcony became a bit over run by seagulls! I had a starter of three beetroots and creamed feta cheese, with a side of halloumi fries as a main course. For dessert I had sticky toffee pudding which was HUGE - 2 slices of cake with caramel sauce, cream/ice cream.
My husband had the seafood platter with a couple of slices of bread, and for dessert he had a creamy chocolatey concoction. Sorry I can't remember what it was called. We shared a bottle of wine. I'm disabled, and the bar man led me to the accessible toilet through a staff only for as it was quicker. Unfortunately it wasn't brilliantly clean and there was nothing to dry hands on, and I don't think there was hand sanitizer.
The meal was quite expensive - upwards of60, but we were given a discount for the face that my husband picked up two trapped birds - a seagull and a tern, and threw them in the air over the balcony as the staff seemed scared of them.
